We are semi retired and have traveled a lot via air but now look to adventure in the good old USA by vehicle. Like most we have limited resources but look forward to experience all that we can, while we can! It is a great big beautiful country filled with great people and places to see and meet and time is of the essence.
I (Edward) am pretty handy and can do most anything with my hands. Carpentry, electrical, plumbing etc
Sheila is the creative one with decorating skills and a lot of wisdom about homeopathic health.
Not at this time
I grew up in the great state of Michigan and my wife in Alabama. For the past 20 yearsish we have resided in the greater Houston area. We had a small business that was airline related until about 2 years ago. My wife Sheila is furloughed from United Airlines.
RV is a very clean 1998 Hallmark Cuchera truck bed camper. Truck is a 2010 Dodge Laramie 2500 Diesel
Nice, friendly boondockers that I would be welcome anytime. Left the site as they found it. These were my first boondockers, who left me a pleasant experience of what hosting entails.
Wonderful guests. We didn't get a chance to meet in person, but they were always courteous and friendly in their communications. They arrived and left our place in perfect condition.
Sorry I have tried to leave a reference twice and it never went through. Hope your doing well, we would love to have you back anytime.
We enjoyed Huck being here. Had a good visit and shared a lot of old stories Hope to meet up with them again, but until then, as old Roy would say.......Happy Trails to You
Friendly good people
Easy to talk to and enjoy!
Come again anytime!
Short overnight visit. Hope they come back to stay longer and we can meet them.
We had much in common with this Texas couple. Shared truck camper stories and travel adventures. It was very hot in Mississippi but they fared well. They are welcome back anytime.
I stayed two nights at Huck's place. It is a really quiet and safe location. I loved the RV site. It really has full hookups. I only used the dump and water, it worked out great for me. Hosts were busy so we didn't get to spend much time, but they both seemed like very nice and welcoming people. I love Texas hospitality. Thank you for the great stay!
We had a great stay with our Hosts and their neighbors. It is sort of like we just temporarily joined the neighborhood.
We certainly had a warm welcome. Parking was super simple. Having spotted the lake on the way in, we asked permission to use our kayak. It is a private lake, so permission is required. Due to rain, we didn’t actually launch the kayak, but we did walk the lake road and did the bicycle loop, too.
Not all guests will be lucky to arrive at time of year for a few items fresh from the garden. You know, vegetables that taste like real vegetables, not grown in a green house. So, we are now supercharged with those fresh micronutrients.
Thanks so much for letting us stay.
Wow, can't wait till we can come back for a longer stay. Beautiful place and location, and the host was very friendly. Too bad his wife was ill and could not get together with them as a couple. Next time !
E & S met us on arrival and welcomed us to their beautiful peaceful property. We were offered a FHU site. A convenient safe place to stay while visiting friends in Houston for the day. Thanks again for the warm hospitality!
Beautiful piece of property that was away from traffic noise. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating, even offering an outdoor patio area for relaxing. Would definitely come back!
Hideaway lane was a gift in our travels. The hosts were very kind and generous. My husband and I enjoyed the outdoor space they provide which allowed us some time out of our rig in the evenings while our son slept. I would recommend this place to anyone either driving through or looking for a little rest in their travels.
What a beautiful place to stay. Hosts were very accommodating. Will definitely stay again.
