If you google me - Denise Rosner, Tiny House, Spur, TX - you’ll see that I was one of the first arrivals to the famous town that was the first to allow no limits on the size of your house during the timing of the Tiny House on wheels craze. In any case, you’ll see the house and me.
But in case you don’t have google or whatever, suffice it to say that I live in a tiny house but I’ve found that being on the road in my RV is more what I want to do. So I’ll be Boondocking as well as hosting.
I really don’t have a much better skill than to just chill and hang out at this point in my life. I do love to cook, although much less these days.
I have my 5-year old, 8-lb female chihuahua, Bitsy, that showed up at my door exactly 2 days after I told the universe that I was ready for a travel companion for my RV travels. I should’ve been more specific because I generally do not like chihuahuas. However, she turned out to be the best, of course!
My favorite Boondocking spot so far for me is A1 Mountain Rd in Flagstaff, AZ.
Oh but then there was the San Luis Wildlife Area - formerly San Luis Stae Park, in Colorado.
I also loved staying at the South Entrance of Joshua Tree NP in CA. I’m pretty sure all 3 are on freecampsites.net.
I love this sleepy little town, Spur, that I call home. There’s not much to do. Depending on where and when you drive, you might think you’re in a ghost town. There’s 2 places to eat, a grocery store, etc. You would be able to find whatever you need. The landscape is beautiful and the sky at night is just awesome! All of which is so appreciated by this native New Yorker.

Travel blessings continue...…..meeting this lady has filled my heart with hope & joy for the future!
She has done so much to help revive this adorable, clean & friendly town! Denise lives with positive purpose in her life & I feel it was meant for us to meet (even though she'd just returned from 3 months on the road & was very busy).
I could go on & on about the wonderful experience of staying on this property (including the astronomical west Texas hailstorm) but I suggest you go try it out for yourself.
Thank you, Denise, & I'm looking forward to our adventures on the road!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our short visit with Denise. Learning about the “tiny house” happenings in Spur and Denise’s adventures in her class C was a delight. Thanks for your generosity.
I mention the host by her name as it is already made known in her host details. Denise met me upon arrival and got me situated on a flat spot next to her "Tiny Home." Spur, Texas has become known for inviting people from all over and all walks of life to move there and build their dream "tiny homes." Denise has had a hand in this movement. She narrated some very interesting stories of her time in Spur, Texas. She was very kind and hospitable. Wish I could have stayed longer and taken some daytime photos of the "tiny homes."
