He retired from the local phone company after 33 years & she has an accounting & tax prep business, which runs from home. We enjoy spending time with our grown kids and we like to go boating, ride motorcycles, and travel together.
The Mr. is retired twice. Once from communications installation and a second time from selling cars. Now he’s a full-time tinkerer. You’ll often find him in his shop or working in the yards. He’s a neat-nick and busy fella.
The Mrs. owns an accounting business and is usually found tucked away in her home office crunching some numbers (taxes) or bean counting (bookkeeping).
We have what we call an “Itty Biddy Farm”, which includes a bunch of laying hens, an old (like 18 years old... yeah old!) turtle and a dog. Our little travel princess is a 5.5 lb chihuahua who doesn’t know she’s a d.o.g, so please don’t tell her!
We are still looking for our favorite boondocking location, as our RV adventure just recently began. We have tent camped many places before our RV adventures, and our favorite is the Suwannee River. It’s just beautiful & wide, and deep & dark waters flow there.
We started RVing in October 2019 and have since upgraded our travel trailer & our tow vehicle. Now that we've gotten the hang of things, who knows? We might just decide to hit the road and not look back (although doubtful because who can leave the one and only grandbaby princess for long?).
Mostly we've adventured in Central Florida from coast to coast on up into Georgia, where we've enjoyed quite a few locations. One neat find was Flovilla, Georgia which is close to Juliette (You know "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "The Whistlestop Cafe"? They were filmed there!)
Our home base is a small town in North Central Florida between Gainesville & Lake City. We have both lived in this area almost half a century and love the small town life this area provides (although it’s grown so much over the years we scarcely recognize it as the same place we grew up).
I had an enjoyable stay and the conversation was great. I would recommend this host as a great place to stay.
A really nice place with plenty of room. Make sure you pay attention to the excellent directions.
My wife and I are FT RVers; traveling in a 35 FT Bounder, tow and dinghy. This year we plan to take advantage of as many BDW location as possible. Of course, we are aware that sometimes, the locations take us a bit out of our way. Once again, we are so blessed to have stayed an IttyBiddyFarm for a late afternoon, overnight and the next morning. The instructions to park were clear and concise. We arrived late afternoon; after a challenging morning drive with many interruptions during the trip; not of our making.
Nevertheless, our hosts communicated with us until we arrived safely at their location. They were kind enough to point us to several spots on where to park our coach for the evening. They shared some eggs from their beautiful, Plymouth Rock Chickens. Yes, Plymouth or barred Rock chickens. It was only fair to reciprocate and leave them with some finger licking, home made from scratch, yummy famous brownies made by my dear wifey. I told my host. You cannot just eat one. The following morning of our departure; as I walked around the property to stretch my legs and say our goodbyes; Sr. D said to me, I ate just one. I was in disbelief. No one ever eats just one delicious brownie. He said, "I am not finished. I ate just one half of the container." He had me there for a second or two.
Anyway, God willing we will return. Yes, more brownies to come. Can say enough about our hosts. How precious it is to share just itty Biddy Time with some wonderful, thoughtful folks. Thank you both for your hospitality. D & D
Wonderful host, very accommodating. We were greeted upon arrival and shown where we could park. Spent some time talking with Mr of IttyBiddyFarm but didn’t have the chance to meet Mrs. Location was easy enough to find and would recommend this host if you are in the area.
Danny came to meet us when we arrived on his property, very friendly.
He told us to settle in as we saw fit on his magnificent 2 acre property.
As a bonus, we were treated to fresh eggs from his chicken coop, delicious! A magnificent and super rooster very protective of its hens.
Certain that if we return to the region we will make a stop with pleasure.

this was our first stay with a BW host and if all others go as well as it did with this visit then we did a great thing in joining BW. Danny and Shelley were wonderful hosts, their 'itty biddyfarm' was easy to find and parking was a breeze. We enjoyed the tour of the farm and Dannys' shop and motorcycles. The fresh eggs were delicious. Guys, if you are ever over our way, please come see us. you have a friend in merritt island.
Safe location on a two acre property just five minutes from Alachua. Some early morning traffic noise but quiet between late evening and early morning. Great hosts and enjoyed the fresh eggs and the wake-up call from the rooster. Recommended visits include Poe Spring State Park and Manatee State Park. Alachua also has an interesting downtown and a friendly library.
Danny and Shelly were wonderful hosts. They have a beautiful property. They are close to some beautiful state parks. There is a dirt road next to their property that is very scenic to walk or ride bikes. There is some traffic noise but it died down at night. We felt very safe here. We enjoyed getting up with the rooster.
