We are a young couple traveling the country, exploring, working on farms, and trying to figure out where we want to eventually settle down, but land, and start our own farm.
I went to school for Horticulture, we have both been working on farms, and are used to getting our hands dirty. We've been trying to fund our whole trip by working on the road using our skills of gardening, landscaping, basic mechanics, photography, and general labor.
Circle Pines, MN
Our rig is a 1991 Chevy g30 box van we converted into an RV. We spent a year building and converting this vehicle into our dream home on wheels. It started as an empty box, and is now furnished with bed, electric lights, propane stove, insulated walls/floor, grey water tank and composting toilet. You can see our work on our blog at www.projectlookingforamerica.com. We are also pulling a small enclosed motorcycle trailer. The total length is 35', but the trailer can be dropped if need be for parking, making a 17' trailer, and 18' van.
Chatted a bit when they came. Nice young couple.
I felt so blessed when my boondockers shared their story and how they work along their journey - and they accepted my offer to help me with my yard work. Very reasonable cost and excellent results. I had neighbors stop to tell us how great my yard looked!
very nice young couple, seeing America and enjoying life. Makes me jealous. They are welcome back anytime.
Our first boondockers were very quiet, pleasant, and spent most of their 2 days with us motorcycle touring the local area. They're welcome back anytime.
We welcomed them for a 5 night stay and they extended an extra night. They could have stayed for alot longer if they wanted. We really enjoyed hosting this young couple. They worked at Camp Pearl for some extra spending money planting two beautiful trees amd we spent quite a few hours together talking about everything. They are welcome to come back anytime they want and we look forward to hosting them next summer for a workcation stay.
You won't be disappointed hosting these two.
I was working and never saw them after their arrival. Seemed real nice and adventurous. Good luck I all your travels
Very nice young couple. Good communication about arrival time and asked about good bye when leaving. Really enjoyed hearing about the full time life they are living. Hope to cross their paths again.
They were here for just one night. Very nice and friendly couple. They left our place just like they found it... You could never tell they were here. Hoping they have safe and fun travels and are welcome back any time.
Very pleasant couple. Perfect guests. Welcome anytime.
Wonderful young couple. So respectful. And after their stay, I hired them to come back and do some work and they were amazing. Such hard workers! They cleared a tree and cleaned gutters for me and weed-eated. I was so impressed with their great work ethic. And fun personalities.
Great! Great! Did we sorta mention 'Great"? Fabulous folks, fine stories to share and we left our home the evening they arrived and a wicked storm blew in and asked if they would/could baby/cuddle our super scared dogs. They did with super extra loving care!!!!! So, did we mention GREAT??? They're Great - invite them to stay.
This couple are staying with their grandmother in an area that does not allow them to park their RV. We have a secure place for their rig for as long as this virus plagues the country, Stay safe and healthy. Glad you are their for your grandmother through this trying time.
I was glad to host them during the bike week events. They are welcome back anytime.
I enjoyed hosting them and will be happy if they return. Great rig too!
Friendly and courteous couple, with unique rig and toad motorcycle.Helpful boondockers who are welcomed back whenever in the area.
You don't have a monster rig to live the Boonie life. These folks have it together. Looking forward to their return
