After many fun years of hosting boondockers we have relocated to a retirement community in New Holland, PA and can not longer offer a spot to stay overnight. As we get settled and begin to travel once more we look forward to participating in the program.
We are in our early 70s and enjoy traveling in our 25ft Leisure Travel Van. We have also travelled fairly extensively in throughout the US, Canada, Europe and South America. We have eclectic interests and can converse on subjects ranging from history, natural history, politics and religion. We do enjoy fly fishing for trout and skeet shooting. Of course we have six the worlds most beautiful and talented grandchildren.
No we do not have pets.
New Holland, PA. In the heart of PA Amish country and beautiful farms of Lancaster county.

and great stories about there many travels and experiences.
Come back anytime folks.
Wonderful hosts. Great conversation — history, philosophy, religion, and family — it all connects. Our third stay with these hosts. They are definitely on our travel map. Easy in, easy out.
What a warm and welcoming couple. Great communicators through BW site and good conversationalists as well. Lots of amenities and they are close to the Susquehanna River and Conowingo Dam for some ice hiking.
We loved to stay at JimRita's and would highly recommend them to any traveler. They gave us a lot of tips for our further route and even showed us photos of them being where we want to go. Very friendly and interested couple with big hearts and perfect cooking skills. Thanks a lot.
Another pleasant stay. Easy in, easy out. We did it have much time to socialize as we were busy traveling and our hosts have busy lives. Nice folks, beautiful surroundings.
What a great place to stay . JimRita were very welcoming and helpful . The area is quiet and peaceful . I would recommend this stop to anyone .
Amazing hosts, they treated us to homemade dessert on the deck and top notch conversation! The location is gorgeous, easy to get to, all the amenities we needed. So quiet and lush! We got treated to some beautiful wildlife too! Only wish we could have stayed longer in this beautiful spot.
Also, as per Jim's recommendation definitely go to Havre De Grace Boardwalk and Lighthouse, its simply gorgeous.
Jim and Rita were lovely hosts. Jim helped me set up electric and Rita met me with a guide to the local area. We shared a wonderful meal together, swapping stories. Thank you both!!
Great hosts and beautiful area wish we could have stayed longer hope to see Rita and Jim again maybe at our home here is hoping
Great hosts! We shared food and prayers together along with discussions about travels, family, and history. Hoping we will host them in Maine sometime.
JimRita were most definitely Superhosts! They welcomed us warmly and gave us information about the surrounding area so we could tour on our bikes a bit after a long day driving. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening together getting to know them and would welcome them at our home anytime. Hope to meet again one day and return the hospitality.
Jim and Rita even invited us in for breakfast to get to know us better after letting us stay the night so we could visit our uncle in the near by town. Water and electric hook ups were great also . Please drop by and see us in the Toronto area some time.
Nice couple, beautiful home, good location. Pointed us to the best crab cakes in MD. Thanks for the coffee and bagel Jim and Rita. Would stay again.
Jim and Rita are very personable and welcoming. Stayed 2 nights and had a traditional Maryland dinner (crab cakes) on the second evening. Beautiful and quiet location. Full of info on places to go and see. Thanks again for such a wonderful time.
We got a warm welcome from Jim and Rita. We had been visiting our families in Florida and Texas so we showed each other pictures of our grandchildren. Plugged in our heater and we were snug for the night. Great hosts, easy in, easy out.
... what very nice people ! Rita and Jim are very welcoming and very generous with their time. They gave us tips on local places to visit and valuable in depth information about lot ok thinks. They are a lovely couple who went out of their way to accommodate us and we were thoroughly spoilt. We could not recommend these hosts more highly.
Host recommended we go into Havre de Grace and then invited us to ice cream and cantaloupe on the porch – such a lovely evening and so great to get to know them – hope this wasn't the only time we get to spend with them!
J & R provided us a really great and warm welcome. Wonderful hosts & great people, we enjoyed the chatting with them and all the support they provided to us. We would like to be THEIR hosts also! Thank you, J & R!
We had a great experience visiting Havre de Grace and staying at JimRita's beautiful location. They are friendly, wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed chatting with them.
Jim and Rita were extremely welcoming hosts. We loved the BBQ on the patio and the good conversation. The location is very quiet and there is lots to do. Rita and Takako exchanged recipes and ingredients and we hope to see Jim and Rita at our location soon!
It was our first Night in the RV and it couldn't be better. Jim welcomed us so nice and friendly, and we felt very Safe at this really nice House. Thank You so much for helping us with our RV and your Ideas for our Trip. All the best for you both.
We are so grateful for our first boondocking stay with Jim & Rita. They made us feel exceptionally welcome even with our late arrival. They invited us in for hot tea which was great because it was a snowy, chilly night. We loved hearing their adventures in their RV all over the states and Canada. It's so nice to connect with like-minded ramblers and keeps us inspired to keep exploring! We hope to see Jim & Rita again in the future. They were such nice people :)
Cannot express enough how our host Jim went out of his way to accommodate our stay. Wonderful location, access and hospitality. Hope we can some day return the favour.
We were going to Baltimore and stayed at Jim and Rita's place about 30 miles away. They were very gracious and great to talk with about our respective RVing adventures. They were very helpful describing what to expect in Baltimore as we were not familiar with the city. Havre De Grace is a nice town to visit as well.
I heartily recommend Jim and Rita's location in Havre de Grace, MD. They are close to the sweet little city with many beautiful 1800s homes. I had electric which is always great and they were wonderful friendly and accommodating hosts! Carolyn
