Extremely active retired couple, loves travel and willing to host
Grew up in the area so we can tell you where the locals eat and play.
Park on the right of the driveway as you pull in and further back to distance you from any road noise.

recommend. Were glad to help these good people with the quest for their new truck. Very kind and quiet. Highly recomend.
We truly enjoyed our time under the Oaks. Our hosts were wonderfully generous. We have a lot in common and had a wonderful time getting to know them. Even our dogs got along well. It was fun waking up in the morning with cows and horses next door. There was plenty of space to park and turn, and the parking space was pretty close to level. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
I could have sworn we wrote this review already because I was so in love with this place and told many of my friends how beautiful and perfect our stay here was. Not only were they the most incredible hosts but their property is just beautiful and so peaceful! We were so grateful for our time here, our kids just loved it! We hope to sometime visit again!
Under the Oaks is aptly named, as we were under the oaks, with cows as our neighbors on the other side of the fence in the pasture. Our host greeted us and gave us an information sheet of local places we might need to know about. We only needed a one night stay, but may be back soon.
What a great experience staying under the wide canopy of the Oaks. Beautiful yard and plenty of room. Jimingram55 called me the afternoon of our stay to make sure I had the directions and to give some extra tips on finding the place. Once we arrived, we were greeted by the hosts and their dog, Abby. Our stay was peaceful and the hosts were fabulous. Thank you so much.
My family stayed with host for 3 days and loved this area. Close to Sarasota, Bradenton and Siesta Key our family enjoyed exploring. Host even gave us some homemade black grape jelly. Will definitely return!
I enjoyed my stay at under the oaks very much. I was greeted with local references for places to go and things to do. The host was very courteous and I had no problems with the dog visiting on occasion. I’d be happy to stay there again should I have the opportunity.
Jim greeted me with a super useful list of the local services that might be necessary for a traveler. Then he gave me a little background on the area and his wonderful home, it’s a terrific place to stay, very convenient to major roads but peaceful at night. A terrific host, he keeps the place in tip top shape and you can tell he is interested in making your stay pleasant. I hope to visit with them again sometime. Excellent host.
Jimingram55 was an excellent host. Pretty and quite place to overnight. Lots of good information about the area. We spent two nights and did a day trip to Anna Maria Island per recommendation and had a wonderful time. Thank you!
Jim and Sharon are cordial hosts. I enjoyed pleasant short that's with them. The yard is spacious and you can choose your parking spot. Shade if you want it sign if you need it to drive your solar. It's conveniently located to shopping, Publix is just around the corner. Sarasota it's just a little over a half hour drive when the traffic is light. Of course we know that is not the case very often this time of year in Sarasota.
All the amenities of a campground but nicer. Friendly people. Four other RVers while we were there.
My hosts were the greatest. What a lovely location. So peaceful under the old oak trees. Could not ask for better people or location. It’s just amazing the generosity of others! Thank you for your beautiful hospitality and our many conversations.
My husband and I needed to be on the Bradenton area to officiate our nephew’s beach wedding. This was our first time using boondockers and we had a great experience. Enjoyed meeting our hostess. Lovely place to camp, highly recommend to anyone visiting this area.
First of all, the property is beautiful!!! Sharon and Jim were welcoming hosts and always available to us in helping with our navigating around the wonderful area. Great for bike riding as well. Close to a lot of shops and restaurants. Highly recommend a visit and hoping to be back.
We had a great stay under the oaks. Jim was very kind, we had a few brief but interesting conversations and he even brought us some fresh eggs from his hens. We didn't have enough time here, I hope we can visit again so I can visit the chickens and play with Abby, Jim's dog and chat some more! The property is beautiful, close to a grocery store, and easy to access. Thank you much for hosting us!
We enjoyed our one night stay under the oaks at Parrish.....our hosts had company for dinner so we didn’t get a chance to visit…… Lovely setting and perfect stop over…… Maybe we’ll get a chance to visit next time
Couldn’t have ask for a better spot to stay. Sharon and Jim were amazing host. Jim helped us get settled and Sharon handed us a print out of all the local restaurants, stores, etc. they recommend. We had the most amazing fish tacos per their recommendation! Jim let our 5 year old pick eggs and keep them. Great people! Won’t find a better spot to stay.
Host came out after I called and showed me where to park... Super friendly. Their property is so pretty. I parked under the moss covered trees and had wonderful shade... Very peaceful. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy your little piece of country in what I believe is a busy town... 😂
This is a lovely spot, and the host was super nice. We had planned ahead with him that we would be taking our coach for repairs and then back that night but it ended up taking longer so we were only there one night. He was very kind and invited us back another time.
Jimingram55 and his wife are truly gracious hosts. We really enjoyed our stay with them. They have a beautiful home and surrounding property. We felt like we were in the wilderness with the huge oak trees and large field next to the spacious RV spot. It was an easy pull through spot to get our rig parked, and relatively level to set up. There was also enough room to get turned around when we were ready to pull out. Our dog enjoyed playing with theirs and we toured each others RVs and shared experiences, which is always nice. We had a very relaxing 3 nights. One afternoon, we took our dog over to dog beach on Fort De Soto State Park. After touring the Fort, we were able to let our dog play off leash with dozens of other dogs, run on the beach and play in the surf. She loved it! Overall wonderful trip. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay with you!!
Jim Ingram and his wife host us at thair wonderful yard under the trees. It was nice and quiet, we had a nice conversation about traveling the USA and other countries. Thank you, and we hope to meet again.
ANAT AND ILAN STERNBERG.
We spent 3 evenings at Under The Oaks. Our Hosts were fantastic. They informed us of things to do and see in the area, including some of their favorite restaurants. They told us we could come and go as we please, and if we needed anything, come to the house and ask. We were very pleased with our stay, and hope to stay here again in the future.
Had a wonderful restful stay! Friendly kind hosts and enjoyed exploring the area. Would definitely recommend
Jimingram55 and family are inviting and gracious hosts! They are happy to provide guidance and input to the local must see and do. They provide a delightful private quiet place to park, and the watchful eye of a most awesome furdoggy.
We look forward to returning soon, and continuing the many conversations we started.
Super nice friendly folks. Easy location to get to. Nice big area to park. Thank you!!
We stayed three nights and had a lovely visit with our hosts. Large yard and plenty of space between us and the house. Would stay again for sure.
We had a great experience with these people, very lovely to talk to interesting, and let us tour their “ new” airstream! Sweet rig!
