Since we are retired farmers we, of course, love working outside as much as possible. We worry that the grass is not green enough and the flowers do not bloom long enough. We have set aside a small area in our backyard that will accommodate 2 larger units.
My husband is a jack of all trades having been a farmer his whole life. Or as he would say jack of some trades.
So far we have only camped in the National Forests around us and of course at my sisters. We love her spot.
Our mailing address is Bemidji, MN and we live in the Chippewa National Forest with a new blacktop road at the end of our driveway.
This was a perfect overnight spot. The parking site was well marked, right beside a 30 amp connection and in a beautiful setting. As we pulled up, the hosts came out and greeted us, making us feel welcome. We left before we saw life in the house, and didn’t want to wake them to say thank you, but it was a great stay. The exit was a loop, so we never had to disconnect our towed vehicle. Thank you!
This was the perfect place to enjoy a few nights' rest in a quiet area of MN. Itasca State park is about 45 min away and the town of Bemidji has everything anyone would need. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with the hosts! They were so helpful and just a joy to talk with. The property is very accommodating to maneuver your camper around with very little backing up! I highly recommend staying at Red Pine Drive!
I stayed one night at their beautiful home. They offered me power and internet (and fresh cucumbers!) from the garden. Very quiet level spot; beautifully landscaped. Had a nice time talking with them as well. Highly recommend.
This was our first stay using boondockerswelcome, but we have been RVing for years. In all our years of RVing and camping we have never had a more welcoming stay. We were greeted like old friends and amazed by the beauty of their manicured camping area which is in the middle of the forest but perfected through likely thousands of hours of attention to detail in their landscaping. When we pulled into the area we were greeted and I heard a hissing sound coming from the area of out fifth wheel. Turns out we picked up a nail in one of our camper tires on the way to their place. The host's husband came out right away and insisted on helping me change the tire. Within minutes he had a jack and tools at my trailer and we had it changed out in about 5 minutes. He then told me of some local shops to get the screw out and the tire plugged. We went to town and the shop had it fixed in 10 minutes and insisted that the repair was free!! No more mishaps after this and the rest of the stay was amazing. The host stopped by later and brought us some freshly picked vegetables from her garden. We were made to feel like old friends or family the whole time, it really was the royal treatment!! Never had such a great experience before, these people are amazing!
Beautiful property with woods and green abounding. Tucked away though accessible to so much including lots of options for kayaking, biking, walking and shopping. Our hosts were truly helpful and were invested in our comfort and enjoyment. It was such a pleasure getting to know them. The site comes with access to water, electric hook-up and even WiFi!
We stayed two nights with Red Pine. The hosts have a beautiful park-like setting in the forest. They were incredibly gracious hosts. Additionally, they offered 130 amp electrical hook-up. We took advantage of that. They offered water hook-up but we didn't need it. My wife and I highly recommend this Boondockers to all subscribers.
These hosts made us feel like we were home! We got the wrong drive to go directly to the site, but this couple corrected us and we were shown right where they wanted us to park in the shade. They supplied a 30 amp connection, but as the weather turned cool, we did not need to run the air conditioner. After supper, they came down to our motorhome and talked about our travel experiences. As we talked, both of us agreed that part of our travel plans were to go to the International Peace Garden in Dunseith, North Dakota and they did a wonderful job of preparing us. They also suggested that we back track several miles to CCC Camp Rabideu, and take an alternative route north to to Superior, Wisconsin, which we did. We are so pleased how they added to our trip.
The hosts were fantastic. Had a great visit with them. Nice open and quiet area. Would stay again if in the area.
The area is beautiful, lovely trees. Campsite is great, level, grassy, with electrical hookup. We had a wonderful time visiting with the hosts. They are helpful, friendly, and very kind. We will stop again if we are in this area.
Super nice people and great hosts. Plenty of room. We had a great time visiting and toured some cool locations suggested by the hosts.
The hosts were wonderful people and we enjoyed chatting with them. The location was great. We enjoyed a walk around the property. We wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely recommend.
I was greeted by the hosts and directed to one of the two spaces available in their backyard. Plenty of room and good access. They were very accommodating as I had to change my arrival date by a week without any problems.
I enjoyed my stay with the quite and serene surroundings provided by these two wonderful hosts.
