HI. I'm in my early 60's, and am soon to travel to the USA with my hubby, for our 30th Wedding Anniversary/30th Honeymoon!
We are visiting relatives, and loosely following route 66, starting in LA, and ending up in New York via Florida.
At home in England we have 2 children (now grown, with their own lives!), 5 dogs (border collies), 3 cats and a few chickens. Hard though it is to leave them we love America and want to see the sites!
We are experienced RV'ers, who enjoy travelling, We are quite shy, but love meeting new people and have made friends over the years.
My hobbies are photography and genealogy. Hubby keeps bees and was a hobby blacksmith before becoming too poorly. He loves all things mechanical (old cars, steam engines etc).
We are lucky to have a part share in a narrow boat (a 60ft long, 7ft wide barge that lives on our UK canal system).
We run a small real estate letting business in England.
We are both fairly early to bed types, but love a good chat!
A am pretty good at genealogical research, but have lilttle time these days. I am also an aspiring photograper, but probably need to learn rather than teach!
Hubby knows a bit about bee keeping.
Yes, but they won't be travelling with us (my son is fantastically kind and house sitting for us).
As yet not been boondocking in USA, but very much looking forward to finding some lovely spots.
We come from Burnham on Sea, a small seaside town in Somerset, South West England. We are not very fit, but as much as possible like to stay in state and national parks, and open spots - we are not keen on cities!
HI. We have a Tioga Arrow, which is 22 feet long, but we also have an attachement for a electric mobility scooter fixed to the back - adds about 2 feet to make around 24ft. We don't need electric hookup, but it's nice if we can!
Welcome back. Great conversation. Super quiet. Safe travels!!!
Wonderful guests, very much enjoyed meeting them! Would welcome them back anytime.
Great couple really enjoyed talking with them. unfortunately due to this coronavirus thing wasn’t able to shake hands or sit around outside talking. Beautiful couple really enjoyed their time here. They are welcome anytime.
In spite of Covid 19 proximity restrictions we were able to have uplifting, humorous, socially distanced, and spirited conversations with these wonderful guests. The weather cooperated a little better than predicted and at least they didn't have to endure some of the turbulence that spring in the Midwest can bring while at Our Place. R is an absolute ray of sunshine with her infectious laugh and joyous countenance. P and I were able to enjoy technical collaboration on an issue they've been enduring for the last few days and he thinks he's struck upon the proper conclusion. It's always a joy for me to be able to "tech-speak" with a fellow "gear-head". To most people, it's as if we were having discussion in "Kliingon" (think Star Trek). I think of it as being similar to "Navajo Code Talkers" of World War II fame! These are very self-sufficient people; considerate, congenial, and we're glad to have made more new international friends. It has been a strange Easter Sunday for us what with worshiping on-line, etc. It was great to have them here on Easter morning and they are welcome back anytime at Our Place. We'll get our hugs then!
Even with social distancing we were able to visit for a short time They are a very friendly couple. Hopefully they will stop by again some time in the future.
Absolutely brilliant and very lovely guests!
Cheerful, positive and great conversationalists!
We will remember these two special people with great fondness!
Would definitely recommend them as guests anytime, anywhere!
Thank you, Rosy and Paul, for staying with us at Territory Route 66 RV Park & Campgrounds!💕
We really enjoyed hosting this couple! They were great guests, and we would be happy to host them anytime.
