We are Stacey and Gary and we live in Nine Mile Falls which is a small rural community northwest of Spokane, Washington. We have known each other since we were 14 years old in high school but we didn't start dating until our late 30's and finally married in Hawaii on December 12, 2012 at 12:12 in the afternoon (he has no excuse to ever forget our anniversary.) We are fortunate enough to say we are retired in our 40's and we LOVE to travel. Prior to retirement Gary worked for the airlines so we were able to travel anywhere in the world our airline flew. Now that we are stuck to land and sea we have taken our love to travel on the road in our 2016 Fleetwood Discovery motorhome.
2 fur babies. Spirit our 8 year old Siberian Husky and Sofi our 5 year old Yorkie. They are great traveling pups and love on everyone.
During the summer of 2014 we were able to host one amazing family at our home and visit another family when we did a cross-country tour of the United States. We stayed with a great family just outside Hot Springs, South Dakota where we spent 2 days exploring the Black Hills and Mt Rushmore. Unfortunately in 2015 we didn't renew our Boondockers Welcome membership because we had plans to tear down our perfectly good house and rebuild our dream home. on Valentine's Day of 2015 we officially moved into our 5th wheel full time in our driveway while we made our dream come true. We lived in our 5th wheel for 8 months during construction and finally moved into our new house in October of 2015. Now that we are all settled and have the property to a pre-construction state we are happy to announce we are now able to once again host travelers at the Riverhouse. In 2016 we hosted several BW guests before we headed out on our Great SW Adventure.
Nine Mile Falls is a small rural community just 20 minutes northwest of Spokane, Washington. Our property, called The Riverhouse is situated on the Spokane River with over 300 feet of river frontage. Nine Mile Falls is rich in history of Fur Trading Posts and the Spokane Indian Tribes, with an interpretive center just 2 miles down the road from our property. Long Lake is just down the road where one can spend the day boating and water skiing on the 24 mile lake. The Riverhouse is located directly across the river from Riverside State Park which allows for great hiking and cycling on the Centennial Trail (a 38 mile multi use path connecting Nine Mile Falls to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.)

Great couple with lots of RV knowledge. Incredible rig with all the latest for long term boondocking. Glad we had the room to accommodate and provide a much needed rest before their incredible journey from the Florida Keys to Alaska. Welcome back any time. Travel safe and we will track you through your website and blogs.
They finally made it to my house after being in Yellowstone N.P.. The park was a mess because of all the fires. Very nice couple they are welcome to come back anytime. Would liked to have spent more time with them. Maybe next time. Thanks
We stayed for three nights. Friendly hosts and great back country property (on a river!) on north side of Spokane about 15 minutes from the heart of the city. Very organized, they gave us a PDF with a map and some suggestions on how to approach and how to text them shortly before we arrived so they could meet us at the entrance gate. Our 37' Class A had no trouble backing in from the highway and getting level in the gravel spot, also plenty of room for tow car next to it. We left a small donation for plugging into power and some water. Their apple tree was in season and they encouraged us to take what we wanted. There is a little road noise during the day, but it totally dies down at night and did not bother us one bit. We were also <10 minutes from Green Bluff growers where there was wine/mead/beer/cider tasting, pumpkin patches, and u-pick orchards. It was fun to nerd out on our motorhome setups. We would definitely stay again if passing through Spokane!
Stacey & Gary were great hosts. Good directions on how to find their place and where to park. They were on hand to greet us (along with their resident host, Scott). RV parking was easy to back into behind a large swing gate (take their recommendation and come from the north as your approach). They graciously provided us with an electrical hookup, and invited us to join them around the campfire one evening. Wonderful place to stay, with the only downside being the road noise which, for the most part, quiets down at night.
It was a pleasure meeting the Riverhouse folks and the parking spot was very nice. I look forward to meeting them on the road to Alaska.
Oh my gosh! What a beautiful spot and stay. Unfortunately the owners were out travelling and we did not meet :(.
But, the host family caring for the location is beyond awesome! They are, delightful, gracious, engaging, accommodating and just darn nice folks. We totally enjoyed their kids,
And to top it off the grounds are comfortable and beautiful.
We shared many experiences and foundi the whole experience second to none! Thank you so much for the privilege of sharing your beautiful Riverhouse. We were AMAZED ♡♡♡♡♡
Some fun hikes and city touring. Our kids loved playing around the house.
Be sure to approach from the north (i.e. pass the house then turn around if coming from US 90), so that you can back into gate. The blind turn makes it harder to back out a big rig.
The gravel parking spot was close to the road with trucks passing all night, so be aware road noise is loud.
Such a beautiful, peaceful location...very relaxing and great to have power too. We missed meeting you, Gary and Stacey, but we really appreciate you agreeing to host us. Your property-sitters, Melissa and Scott, were wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed chatting with them. My favorite memory from your place was sitting outside overlooking the river and watching Scott take Ellie and Briggs round and round on the ATV. Each time, they would pass us, little Ellie and Briggs would be smiling and waving...what delightful kids! Hope your trip is as amazing as it sounds!
Both Stacey and Gary were terrific hosts! Their property is nothing short of fantastic. Scenic, secluded waterfront property with a giant lawn overlooking the river and a picturesque pedestrian bridge in the background. It's absolutely stunning back there. The hosts offered an electric hook up and didn't mind us running our generator when we declined (we try to be self reliant as much as possible). Our stay was so enjoyable and welcoming that it was honestly hard to leave. If you're in the area, this is an absolute must stay. Thank you GARY and STACEY! SO MUCH LOVE from the RollWithItBus family! OH, and check out their youtube channel, it's full of RV living knowledge from two pros..
We were only able to spend one night here but the hosts are amazing. In addition to their great .pdf map and directions (which means you can look at it even when there is no internet signal), they helped us back in -- pointed out a good spot with a view of the river. It was HOT the evening we were there so we were *really* grateful for their 50 amp outlet in front of their shop. (Our fifth wheel is 30 amp but we have an adapter -- so no problem.) They told us to feel free to walk the property along the river, so we did -- and got some great reflection shots of a bridge across the river from their house. After our long and HOT drive heading east from Lake Chelan, this place was just the ticket. Thanks to these great Boondockers Welcome hosts for their great hospitality and sharing their property with the rest of us.

We were lucky enough to be able to stay at The Riverhouse for two nights and it was just perfect. I'm so thankful for the hospitality and generosity that they showed us. Their home is just beautiful and it was this amazing healing oasis. I hope that we run across each other on the road!! xx
