We are Sandra and Nigel Walton, from the UK who love to travel. We have a motorhome in the UK, which we use to explore our own country and Europe.
In 2012, our son married a wonderful girl from San Jose, where they now both live. We visited last year, 2013 and bought an elderly (but little used) 25ft C Class RV (no slideouts),in which we hope to explore the USA when we visit over the next few years.
Our immediate plans are for a trip by road and Ferry to Alaska this Spring/Summer.
That was last year, and we had a great trip and met some wonderful hosts. Now we're back for a shorter trip, taking in some NP in Utah and Wyoming, then heading back to BC.
Nigel is a retired domestic appliance engineer and I'm a retired hotelier.
Apart from reading, exploring and meeting people (both of us), we also enjoy walking, cookery and photography (me) fishing, music and diy (Nigel), so would be happy to help out in any way we can - or just share travellers tales if we stay with you.
So far we've especially enjoyed what we in the UK call 'wild camping' in Norway and France. We've had one or two problems when we've tried it in the USA, notably being moved on by the police in LA. We did however find a fantastic spot outside Joshua Tree Park.

I would have to say that one of the best aspects of making new friends is having them return for another visit! So enjoyable to spend another evening with Nigel and Sandra.
We enjoyed sharing our love of music. We played country and they...a few folk songs from across the ‘pond’. What a lovely couple!....quiet, respectful and courteous.
We didn't have much time to visit, but the time we did chat was nice. They communicated arrival and departure times. We would welcome them to stay any time.
Very nice British couple. We sat for quite a while on their 2nd evening here. Fun stories, good time. No hassles to issues.
Nigel and Sandra were delayed a day in arriving which was actually a big benefit for me as it gave me an added day to recover from surgery. Meeting them was like being with old friends and we enjoyed comparing our stories, RVs, and as one often finds mutual friends, as the RV community frequently seems to be a shared group. We discussed local destinations and they were off early the next day with plans to return that evening. This gave us an opportunity to spend an enjoyable time sharing wine and great conversation. If everyone was as friendly as Nigel and Sandra one would want Boondockers every week! I recommend them not only as guests but as friends as well! I certainly look forward to getting together again with my new friends.
Had a great time meeting new friends, we had a toast of wine and enjoyed talking about places we have been to around the world. We would welcome them back Any time . They where are first guest.
Carolyn and Jack. Morey. The Painted Cow Ranch
Their wine was fine . . . the conversation was great! we stretched their 3 day planned Vancouver stay to 5 days with an offer to take Negil fishing on the 5th day. We did go fishing at Stave Lake Reservoir and Nigel was the only one that caught something. . . a clump of seaweed! Sandra and Nigel have travelled the world and their stories wet our lips (along with their good wine!) Great and thoughtful guests! We invited them back in September when the salmon are running in the Fraser River.
What a pleasure it was to meet Nigel and Sandra. Enjoyed nice conversation and a good bottle of wine Sunday evening
They are welcome back anytime.
