Greetings! ScubaSteve and CaseyLou are new as of 2014 to traveling with our first RV. We love to have fun, lead a very healthy lifestyle. ScubaSteve is recovering from a successful unrelated stem cell/bone marrow transplant. We have an AirStream Interstate EXT 2014 that we have tricked out with a significant solar power upgrade enabling us to be self-sufficient for dry camping. We are in our late forties, enjoy bicycling, and travel with our three dogs: Major, a 2.5 year-old black and red German Shepherd, BH titled, and working on becoming a therapy dog. Moxie, a 1.5 year-old Black German Shepherd, working on getting BH titled, and eventually training for Schutzhund competition, and Maggie, our "hand-held" version that we rescued from Tennessee, she is a 14lb. Yorkie/long-hair Dachshund combo. All are constantly being trained and very well mannered and socialized. All are secure in custom secure crates that are built into our motorhome. Our Airstream is a Class B, 24.5' motor home, it does not have any pop outs or require any special space. We like it because we get 19 miles to the diesel gallon. We love being out in nature, bicycling and hiking wilderness trails. Currently we live in Northern Virginia, but we are developing a 122-acre timber ranch that will hopefully be available for Boondocking in late 2015 with two RV sites.
I build custom secure dog crates for SUVs and RVs as a hobby. I am told that I am excellent at training dogs. We have completely remodeled our home and enjoy the process--we do it ourselves. We are currently working on a bigger project to develop a 122-are Timber Ranch. Casey (wife) is smarter than me and really fun! :)
We are just getting started, but we enjoy the mountains, forests, ocean-side with beaches, and places to mountain bike and road bike. We love the Timber ranch we purchased (fall 2014 see description below)
We currently live in northern Virginia, Vienna. However coming in late 2015/early 2016 we will be able to offer our "weekend getaway" near Mount Pleasant, TX. It is a very private 122-acre timber ranch, we finished building an 800ft./30ft high dam that will turn into a 17-acre lake hopefully filled in 2016. We have 30A/50A electrical service, water (summer 2015), and sewer (2016). There's lots of wildlife on the property; deer, wild boar, coyotes, hawks, doves, and eventually ducks. We intend to eventually stock the lake.
We have a 2014 Airstream Interstate Extended. 24.5', Silver, no markings, no slide-outs, Class B, Diesel
