Newly retired, looking to see the U.S., off the beaten path. Seeking new adventures and new friends!
I was a naturalist with the US Forest Service and my husband John was a Forester. We can identify a lot of plants and animals, though we still consider ourselves beginning casual birders. I was a massage therapist for the last 14 years and accumulated a lot of knowledge about anatomy, muscles, pain relief and holistic health.
Bandit is our female elderly Australian Shepard. We bought our latest truck so she could get in and out of it, so yes, she travels with us. She is friendly with other dogs and people that have food or love for her.
Desert Southwest BLM and Forest Service lands!
We are from Saranac Lake, New York in the Adirondack Mountains. We love it here, but winters are long, dark and cold, and we don't like them as much as we used to.

So glad we could host minutilli as they made their way back home during this crazy time. Safe travels!
Our guests needed a safe place to rest on their way home during the pandemic and we were happy to host. Friendly folks who we shared an evening around our fire pit, careful to keep our social distance. We would loved to have met under more favorable circumstances and perhaps we will one day as they live in one of our favorite places, the ADK. We love Boondocker's Welcome as it has allowed us to meet so many wonderful people who share our love of adventure and travel in our beautiful country. Praying they stay safe during this trying time and can get back on the road soon.
We were happy to be these lovely boondockers 1st hosts. Hope to see them again- at less of a social distance.
