We are from New Zealand and are semi retired and in our fifties.
We have bought a 23ft motorhome and have a 6 month visa to travel the US each year. We have travelled over 20 months in North America since January 2014.
Having spent the best part of three years travelling in our bus in New Zealand we have realised a long term dream of travelling in the States and Canada.
So far we have met some wonderful and entertaining people through this website which we recommend highly.
We are currently on our fourth north American trip starting in Salida, Colorado.
I am an ex builder/handyman and Claire is into gardening.

We had the pleasure to host the NZ "Dixie" couple. What a fun time we had chatting about our respective countries, our likes, lives, and just other stuff. They did their own thing, while we did ours on the farm. We stopped a couple times each day to visit. This morning they purchased eggs, lambs cuts, and one of our lamb fleece pillows. I can now say our lamb products will soon be international. They are welcome here any time.
They are fulfilling a part of my bucketlist. I'm jealous but glad they stopped at my place.
Had such a good visit that we ended up tagging along and camping just outside Yellowstone. We made some great friends. Hope to visit again one day.
Hope you have a great journey in the USA. Loved all the fun we had. Come back next year!
A great couple to have around,we had some great chats. Welcome anytime
These guests (Dixie) were pure pleasure to say the least. They respected our busy schedule and privacy and expected nothing from us, yet appreciated everything. We enjoyed their company very much and were even sad to see them leave. We consider them great friends and they will always be welcome at our place.
highly recommend both are special in their own rite. Had 2 great visits with them.
It was a delight to hear Jim & Clare's travel experiences. They are an easy going couple with a wealth of boondocking experience!
We look forward to their return visit in the spring to hear some more.
Jim and Claire stayed with us for a few days to tour Calgary and visit the stampede. They shared interesting travel stories and were thoughtful, polite guests. It was a pleasure to meet them and have them stay with us.
Hi, It was a fun time having you two staying here. I loved all the travel stories and the dogs where crazy about you.
Hope you have fun and safe travels where ever you go. Your welcome back here anytime!
Truly awesome guest!
Jim and Clair are very, very nice people. They suffered the attentions of our large dog with grace and, thankfully, amusement. We enjoyed many a conversation about the similarities and dis-similarities of our two countries and enjoyed a few laughs over the accents (both ours and theirs). We invited them along when we ran some local errands and thoroughly enjoyed exposing them to the “wonders” of Costco, Bass Pro Shops, and BevMo. We thoroughly enjoyed their company and invited them to return and stay again.
