We are retired and love to travel. In fact, we plan to live full time and travel in our fifth wheel in the future. Husband (Butch) was born within 50 miles of our home on the Olympic Peninsula and has lived here his whole life. When he was younger he hiked quite a bit in the Olympic mountains. He is a retired aerospace machinist and enjoys woodworking and tinkering with fix it projects around the house . Wife (Becky) really appreciates having a handy man around:). She enjoys various crafts and cares for her mother in our home. Raising four children and homeschooling filled her earlier years. Now our ten grandchildren are bringing joy and fun to our life.
We travel with two small dogs; a Papillon and a Löwchen.
We are too new to this to have a favorite. Every boondocking location we have stayed at has been our favorite:)
We live on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula on 3 acres of mostly wooded property in Shelton WA.
Beautiful spot with ample space. Loved hearingt the eagles andoowls overnight. Our boys loved the trampoline, rope swing, and "tree fort." Hosts were very accommodating (even though we got in later in the day than hoped). When we left, they even gave the boys some rocks-to-go. Terrific stay.
RCBC are so great. Eagles landing is definitely a place you want to stay at as long as possible. Sad that we have to go. We had A couple of bonfires and during the day walked up the driveway to the state park and hiked all the trails. There is also a beautiful lake about a quarter mile at the end of the road. They even offered us a couple of extra nights. Really kind and generous folks, definitely will return again. Thanks again.
RCBC was amazing! A quite level spot in a grove of maples and conifers in their side yard. The nearby lake and park is within easy walking and we were there in time for some chanterelles to pop up! This couple was extremely gracious and allowed us to stay with them for longer than planned as we trouble shot some electrical problems. Easy to talk to and really nice people. (Don’t miss out on visiting downtown Shelton while you’re there!) Thanks, you really do rock!
We had a great stay and the hosts were very welcoming and kid friendly. The weather didn't cooperate but overall we had a wonderful time. Good AT&T signal.
Rcbc.rocks were a lovely couple. Nice, out of the way grassy area to put our camper. They greeted us, showed us to our spot, made sure we got everything hooked up, then unless we had a question let us be. They both had a lot of knowledge of what to do in the area. Would stay here again.
This was our first boondockers welcome stay and it couldn't have been better. The hosts are so kind and hospitable, making sure that our kids knew they could play on the rope swing and trampoline. The kids all wanted to stay longer :)
This was our first Boondockers Welcome adventure with our new Arctic Fox trailer. Our hosts were so friendly and kind to us! They had a lovely spot to park and gave us suggestions about activities in the area. Both were so helpful. We highly recommend Eagle’s Landing. What a great first Boondockers experience!
What an awesome couple and great place to stay. They have been so kind and offered an extention while my wife flew east to close on our house. Thank you so much. You made it very comfortable.

They were Super Hosts! Very informative, kind and helpful. Nice people who just want to help others.
Quiet, peaceful, great place, cute gnomes, excellent hosts, smell of pine trees, close to town & Hwy 101...yet far enough to enjoy! Any sized rig will fit. Thanks!
We really enjoyed our quiet stay in the woods. Hosts were friendly and helpful, the site was fairly level and shaded on some warm days. Close to town services but peaceful and dark (at night) here. Hope to be welcomed back in the future!
These folks are genuinely good people. Stayed 5 days and really enjoyed the space. I love the fact that they are willing to share their quiet space.
Beautiful location with a great and friendly couple. Very helpful. Enjoyed being there. Would definitely return.
We just completed a 2 night stay here. The hosts were so helpful showing us where to park and info about the area. This a a large, beautiful, flat grassy area surrounded by the big trees that are part of the Washington beauty. We would love to come back here and stay even longer!
I wish there were more such kind people and natural places. I look forward to stopping by again the next time I'm in that area.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. Our daughter enjoys all of you swings and trampoline. It's nice to be so close to the lake. We loved visiting with your pet, Athena and Finch.
We enjoyed our stay at Eagle Landing. It was a quiet location to use as a base while we explored the Olympic Peninsula. There was a state park within easy walking to walk our dog. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely stay here again.
Let us just first thank both of you for your incredible hospitality and friendship.
This beautiful couple has it figured out. Husband Loves WIFE. WIFE loves husband. Both love their three beautiful acres + 220 Plug ins. We had the fortunate experience of booking this fabulous location pretty much same day. They just said come on! We did and boy were we happy when we got there.
They have a beautiful area set very privately away from their house in an acre field, WITH EAGLES!!!!!!
We talked them into Kayaking with us on the several acre lake that they have access to. They had a really cool tandem kayak that paddled by feet. We had our two kayaks and we went for a little ride on the lake. GOOD TIMES. We saw Bald Eagles.
They have fantastic pups, and a great gnome garden.
These were our kind of people. If you are looking for a great staging area for the Olympic Penn, you've found the right place. You could potentially stay here coming and going from the 101. We were welcomed back and have enjoyed our exchanges of information over the last months with them on Facebook.
Great couple, 10/10 would return.
Very helpful and friendly hosts. Beautiful setting and easy to get around the area.
Thank you!
I can’t say enough about these wonderful folks! They were kind enough to allow us to stay last minute, were warm and welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed, and pointed us to the beautiful lake and park nearby to exercise our dogs. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
This site was above and beyond expectations!! Hosts were wonderful and a pleasure to visit with, never enough time to get everything in, but be sure to have Butch show you the entrance to the park from his driveway. This is a destination and the Eagles were a show that kept me looking up every morning and evening. A BIG thanks for a wonderful stay.
This is our 2nd time staying with Eagle Landing and they are just like family. They greet you when you 1st get there, they make you feel right at home, they make sure your taken care of. Our kiddos had a blast playing on the play equipment, rope swings and in the fort. If your ever in or around Shelton, WA and need a place I'd recommend Eagle Landing!
I can't say enough amazing things about Eagle Landing, they are the perfect host!! They are so wonferful and very helpful, a real pleasure to visit with! They greeted us when we got there, made sure we were all situated, made us feel right at home, let the kiddos play on the play equipment, showed us some projects they've been working on and even helped get our sons gyroscope working right! Their property is beautiful, quiet and we had lots of fun watching the eagles in their nest with their babies.
Wonderfully level, grassy property with plenty of room! Our gracious hosts told us about a lovely nearby park and lake - great for walking and the pet-friendly. Thank you for accommodating us - we enjoyed our time with you!
The Rcbc.rocks are great, helpful hosts. You are parked on a secluded park-like meadow surrounded by big trees in a forest. We could have stayed forever.
We are towing and access was easy.
If you are in the area of Shelton, WA. don't pass this one up!

First time staying at a boondockers welcome, felt like we hit the jackpot! Our hosts are the nicest people, very hospitable, exceeded our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet. Truly amazing. Thank you again.
We had a wonderful time. They were the perfect hosts. We enjoyed talking with them and getting information about the area. They are very kind and our spot was perfect! They really do have an eagle's nest in their yard! We highly recommend you staying.
This was our first stay with a Boondockers Welcome host and could not have been happier. Such a welcoming host. The property was peaceful and beautiful. The kids enjoyed the space, we had a couple fire pits. So grateful for a restful couple day in a wonderful space. Thank you.
Our first Boondocking experience was excellent and RCBC are friendly open hearted couple. The place is beautiful. We had great time
My first boondocking experience was excellent and RCBC are friendly gracious hosts. The place is quite and beautiful. I had a great time visiting and even shared some baking skills that will feed them for a long time.
Great hosts!! Very accommodating and friendly people. The setting is beautiful and quiet, and parking our 40 foot travel trailer was a breeze. We hope to see them again in our travels!
Lovely hosts. Our stay was interrupted and cut short but we cannot think of better people to lust chill with. Warm and welcoming. We will return very soon.
What a peaceful nights rest. Butch and Becky are exceptional hosts. We watched eagles nesting from our dinning room window! Don’t miss an opportunity to stay here. Aggie loved playing with her new friend Finn. Will definitely return and see more of Washington!
We are very grateful to rcbc.rocks for having us at their lovely home, complete with eagles and hummingbirds, and for allowing us to stay extra time while we were sorting out our future moves. Quiet spot in the country with wooded trails and grassy meadows. thank you so much!
Our stay was short, but very pleasant. The hosts were kind, welcoming and informative about everything we inquired about. The property is quiet and it’s easy to park. It was a great stay and we hope to be back in the future!
Great location, easy access,we had some maintenance problems with our truck, the hosts let us delay our departure, no problems. The trails and park near by are really nice. Friendly stay in the north west
?..and were so disappointed to do so. Me handicap issues with our rv cut our travel time and we had to shorten this leg of our journey.
However, I wanted to mention how kind and gracious the host was upon hearing or our troubles. I think our stay there would have been the peaceful beauty we needed at this 5ime and am sorry to miss out. There WILL be a next time!! Thank you!
