We were just a 1-night stop for Scott-n-Mary, and acknowledged in advance that we mutually wanted to observe social distancing. Still, we got to chat for a bit upon their arrival, and again before they left in the morning. We hope they stop this way again sometime when we can sit on the deck and enjoy a beveage and a more extended conversation.
The President had issued his Coronavirus guidelines for America and Scott-n-Mary were trying to get back to their home base. Because we were practicing social distancing and the weather wasn't the best we didn't get to talk to them much. If it weren't for a driveway mishap we would not have had a chance to get to know them. We are glad they felt welcome and hope they will visit again! We'll try to have that turn around ready.
Very nice couple! Lots of good conversation ... from a distance!! ๐ Shared a lot of road stories and transition from full time thoughts! They are welcome back any time! ๐๐ป
Very friendly couple. Walked and chatted until well after dark. They were quiet and we wouldn't have known they were here, but for our nice conversation.. Would recommend and they would be welcome back anytime.
Was a short overnight stay for Scott-n-Mary, but we had the chance to have a quick chat with them when they arrived. Left pretty early so we didn't see them prior to their departure but they left the site in good condition. Would enjoy having them stay at our BDW site again if they pass thru our area in the future.
We had a short visit after they got here and got parked. They texted to let me know they would be a little late so it was nice they kept us informed when traffic got in their way. We discussed a little bit about their van and their retirement before we parted for the evening. This morning they were on their way early and we hope they come back.
I needed a nice quiet space to catch up on some things and this was perfect. Thereโs a place to bring a chair down by the lake and just chill. I went on a 4 mile walk (2 there, 2 back) to a sweet little bridge with a creek. Absolutely gorgeous. They were great hosts. Just left me to my own devices. Hi have a 19 ft airstream and made the turn in their driveway no problem.
Scott and mary have a beautiful spot. They are on a lake, where you can hear the Loons on the water. We would like to go back.
We didn't get to stay for more than a night but we enjoyed our stay with this host. The turn around driveway is tight but doable for a small Class B or 20' trailer. Electricity was offered and we took advantage of it for the evening. The host was gracious and pleasant and gave us a nice tour of his beautiful prime lakeside property. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if ever in the area.
A beautiful spot on the lake and grateful for the chance to see it. Thanks Scott!
What a fun overnight stay we had at the Little Red Cottage! Your generous hospitality only added to the wonderful scenery and uniqueness of the place. We enjoyed getting to know you and swapping "rig" info -- and the recommendations you provided on what to see while in UP was so helpful. Thank you again for all!
Scott was a great host, we enjoyed relaxing on the lakeside, enjoyed floating in the water. Great place to bring your own kayak or canoe! Thanks so much for being so gracious.
K and the girls!
Thank you very much for an amazing stay. I thank you very much for your help with my lavatory issue.
Excited to be their 1 st visitors. Those who follow will enjoy as well. They are working on the road going in so 10-15 mi per hr. Is suggested. Explained very well by the host. Enjoy as we did.
