I enjoy travelling with my wife in our 29 ft Class A Motorhome. I enjoy photography and spending time with my grandkids.

I own an 18 year old dog Chihuihui-Boxer mix who travels with me as an emotional support animal.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

I enjoy out of the way locations on BLM land in Southern Utah or Northern AZ where I can explore nature and take photos.

MinerBoyd's Hometown

Overnight sleep

Just stopped for the night, quiet rural neighborhood. Friendly hosts, met us at the gate to help with parking. Was able to plug in 15 amp service for small fee, and host offered water. About a 45 minute drive to Zion National Park. Hurricane Utah is the closest "large" town.

Beautiful surroundings

Doc and I enjoyed our stay and the host was very accommodating and helpful. Where they lived was very beautiful with mountains and a really neat Indian cave. I appreciate the couple letting us stay on their property.

So generous and kind! Incredibly helpful and welcoming. A joy to visit with

We so enjoyed our two night stay here! They treated us like family and rolled out all the stops for our kids giving us a great adventure (: They helped us tour the Indian cave & see the wolves (which is a feat In itself with 3 small kids and my wife pregnant...). He was so helpful & kind, helping carry my kids up the mountain so they could see everything. We all enjoyed our stay. They got a ride in the tractor, they recommended and offered to give us a ride to various local spots and we even got to enjoy their fresh eggs in the morning “you find them, they’re yours” they told us. It was a great treat and experience. Thanks so much Native Cave Dwelling! God bless you and your family

So helpful and friendly... Close to Zion!

Our first time with boondockers welcome and we could not be more pleased with our host. He came out and helped us navigate backing in to his property and was so friendly. He hung out for a little while and talked with us which was wonderful to have some conversation after a full day of driving in the car.

The location is ideal for going to Zion National Park and we definitely would stay there if we were in the area again.
The driveway is difficult to navigate for longer rigs but he is so helpful to guide you in the right way.

Don’t miss everything this place has to offer

Not just a regular place to park.
This location was our first Boondockers.
We wasn’t sure what to expect coming with kids and a dog.
Boyd actually made sure everything is okay with us on our way to him.
He took us for a short hike on his property and told us so many facts about the history of the place.
His neighbor has wolfs on his property and it was so amazing seeing them too.
We are thankful for people like Boyd who are going out of their way to make you feel good about this world.

Thank you for your hospitality and the great experience.

First Boondocker

We arrived the day after Christmas. Although MinerBoyd and his wife's family/grandchildren were there, they were both very accommodating and helpful. Due to the snow received the night before, we were unable to park in the designated location. Boyd moved his motorhome and let us park in its place. It is in a very quiet place with a circle driveway. They are a very friendly couple and would stay again if in the area.
