We are a relaxed, retired, older, professional couple (mid 70's) living the good life on a 5-acre lot on the north side of Cheyenne, WY. Our children and grandchildren live in Denver so we see a lot of them, but not TOO MUCH!!
We enjoy cruising, RV'ing (older 35' Pace Arrow), travel, reading, streaming video (OUR choices!), good food, good wine with an occasional sip of something stronger (dirty martinis), and many other things, which I cannot remember at my age (76)! We live a very laid back, stress-free lifestyle!! YUPPIES, WE ARE NOT!! DO NOT BRING YOUR POLITICS OR YOUR PROBLEMS HERE!!
We have RV electrical boxes (20 & 30 amp) on the outside front & back corners of the garage and wonderful tasting well water, for those that may want to fill their freshwater tanks, but no direct hookups! Quiet Generators are acceptable, but hooking up to our RV electrical boxes is free of charge for single,non-air-conditioned overnight stays. There is no blackwater dumpsite on the property, but there is a free, clean dumpsite at the WY Welcome Center on I-25, Exit 4, just south of town. There are some closer paysites. We have an RV Guest Wi-Fi named Cheyenne Home RV Guest / Password - Boondockers.
My wife, Becky, is a retired human resource management executive, having worked for several Fortune 500 corporations during her career. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico, attended an English only Catholic school from K - 12, then to the states for her undergraduate college years, prior to law school at the Univ. of Puerto Rico. We have lived in Colorado & Wyoming since 1984!
I am a retired aviation professional, having been a flight instructor, charter pilot, airline pilot, airline check pilot, airline Chief Pilot & airline Director of Operations. My favorite aviation phrases are "The superior pilot uses his superior knowledge and superior judgment to avoid situations requiring the use of his superior skill!" followed by the secret to a long and successful aviation career can be summed up in 3 words "Don't hit nuthin'!"
We used to have a dog, but due to our mobile lifestyle, we did not replace him. Our 5-acre lot is a hound's paradise, loaded with ground squirrels and rabbits to chase! NORMAL pets are welcome, but must be supervised so as not to impact the neighbors! While WY does have snakes, we have never ever seen one on our property in our 20 years of residency! We do have coyotes occasionally after dark, so be sure to monitor small pets when outdoors during that time!
While not technically boondocking, we enjoy USFS locations, which are quite inexpensive when using our NPS Golden Age Park Pass, granting us a 50% discount to their already inexpensive rates, in addition to access to all National Parks for free!
We are less enamored of state parks, which while frequently very nice, can be expensive by the time you pay the park entrance fee on top of the nightly camping fee (plus, frequently, a fee for the tow vehicle!) Out here in the west, there are many places where you can simply pull off of the road and spend the night unbothered! We also really appreciate Canadian Provincial Parks, which used to be quite inexpensive with lean to's full of free firewood for campfires on location.
We very seldom use commercial RV resorts or campgrounds. We prefer the natural side of things rather than the commercialization! I am looking forward to activating some of our BOONDOCKER'S subscription rewards and meeting other HOSTS.
CHEYENNE, WY, was our escape from Denver to a more relaxed and laid back lifestyle as retirement loomed! Rush Hour used to be when all 3 cars were on the road at once! Needless to say, things have changed a little in the last 20 years! The only major drawback is the famous WY wind! We bear the brunt of it due to our location on the top of a ridgeline! The saving grace is the frequency and strength of the wind tends to taper off during the warmer months when most RV'ers tend to be in this area. On the plus side, there is usually very little need for A/C during the day, with cool sleeping at night!
We needed to stay an additional night due to the weather. While trying to make a decision of what to do, I was about to request an additional night when I already had an offer from the hosts to spend another night or two as there was availability. The hosts provided timely information about the weather so we could make decisions about our rig and travel plans. Their location is up on a hill so not a lot of wind protection. We would stay there again as long as no high winds and below freezing temperatures were not in the forecast.
The hosts are quicker to reply via the BW site over texts to their cell. On day of arrival, it is easier for us to text our eta since we're in the truck without our laptops to access the BW site. Our texts were received but the host appears to prefer communication through BW. I can understand when dealing with multiple members to keepall the conversations straight. I wish BW had an app to help with this.
Thank you for hosting us!.
Super friendly hosts. Greeted us everyday with the highs and low for the day and recommended local vendors to get supplies. They were very accommodating when we needed to stay an extra day.
We stayed with them during a wind storm and they provided weather updates to help us make travel decisions. We arrived with a pretty empty fresh water tank after boondocking for 7 nights and GTS1544 directed us to his water faucet to add fresh water. There is one 30 AMP and two 15 AMP outlets on one circuit for use with a small fee. There was another RV onsite so we had to share and tripped the circuit which had to be reset by the host.
The winds were so bad that the host offered for us to extend our stay another night which we appreciated very much. The hosts have a nice property with easy access and plenty of room to maneuver. They are a close drive to downtown Cheyenne where we roamed around the beautifully renovated Capital Building and the Depot area. The hosts provided a Cheyenne tourism book to help us with information about the area.
We stayed one night on our way cross country. Quiet peaceful spot with a great host! Close to the highway and close to town for food/stores.
Well, yet another failed fix and on to mechanic number 11 and a new diagnosis. We can't believe how insane this issue has been, but there is no way we could have made ith through if not for George & Becky's kindness and support. Amazing doesn't begin to cover it.
My stay in Cheyenne at Spaghetti's Roost was great! So accommodating! They allowed me an extra night, 30amp hookups, wifi and even let me receive a package to their residence. Thankful for a wonderful experience!
What a lovely place! After a warm welcome from Spaghettis Roost, I settled in for a quiet and safe night. With social distancing, we kept in touch with texts so I was able to stay later the next morning to firm up future travel plans. Would definitely recommend Spaghetti as a place to stay.
Enjoyed a nice quite night. Spot is easy to get to without unhooking our toad. Hosts are very welcoming.
We enjoyed our stay at your open prairie. Beautiful views and open sky. Thank you for our peaceful stay and lots
of roads to walk the dog, thumbs up
We have stayed at this host site, Spaghetti Roost, 4 times now and each has been incredibly enjoyable! Our hosts are flexible and allow us access to their huge prairie lot. We come up from Fort Collins to play pickleball in Cheyenne and are so grateful that we can stay in a safe spot each time. Our hosts are also incredibly gracious during this time of Covid!! Mary Goulart
The Hosts were top notch. They provided us with lots of helpful info, from directions, cheapest gas in town, and nearest dump station. On top of that we had 30a service and fresh water to fill our tank. Thanks for everything!
This was our second stay at Spaghetti roost. We had a wonderful, quiet, relaxing, stay here. It is very close to town;we were able to get some shopping and also see the capital, which is on my bucket list, and was only 11 minutes away. Great views of the area as you sit up here on a plateau. We also had 30 amp and access to water. The dump station is down at the state line south, not far from here. Thank you again to our wonderful hosts.
As we were finishing up our repairs (I hope), a wonderfully freak winter storm decided to roll in so we decided to make the best of it. The kids hadn't seen snow in years since we are typically chasing 70 and running away from snow. They begged to stay for the experience and they were not disappointed. Although it didn't accumulate much here, we were able to go up to the mountains nearby for some awesome snowy play-time. I know this was a totally minor taste of Wyoming Winter, but we were extremely fortunate to get this once in a blue moon opportunity. Not to mention getting some awesome zucchini out of Ms. Becky's garden right before the freeze hit and then making one more trip to the Saratoga Hot Springs. We will be sad to leave but have been incredibly grateful for our unplanned time here.
This was a nice stop along my way. Electric and water are provided and the arrival instructions were clear. While we didn't get to chat, I'm grateful for to have had a place to stay! Thank you!
Many thanks for accommodating us. Very quiet and peaceful. Thanks too for generous 30 amp power
Best wishes anytime d good health
George and Becky were our best hosts yet... Ok, it was our first Boondockers Welcome location. But seriously, they were awesome. They allowed to extend our stay so we could finish a work week and continue to scout out the area for possible moving considerations.
We'll definitely be stopping by if we are in the area again.
The WiFi was good and we could stream YouTube no problem.
We were able to use the 30amp hookup and enjoyed being able to top off our water as well.
Thanks again George and Becky!
Had a very good stay - got to rest & relax in a good spot north of town with a view. Good hosts who made sure all was good to go. Highly recommend them and their place to others!
We're doing a long stay here checking out the area. George and Becky have been super gracious and welcoming.
We've been able to refill our water supply and the nearest dump is only a few miles away at exit 4 on I25. And it's a free dump.
The views from their yard are wonderful. Amazing sunsets!
George and his wife are the most accommodating hosts I stayed last week on the way to Mt Rushmore. I realized this was the Labor day weekend and last minute I asked if I could stay at their place again. They replied quickly with a YES!!. They have several guests already but made room for me!
I hope that I can be a host for them sometime.
Great folks great location.
Thank you Thank You.
Two wonderful hosts. We had a horrible day with the 45 mph wind coming from Casper to Cheyenne. A trip that should have taken 4 hours took about 8 or 9.
The hoast told me not to worry about arriving late and to take our time that our spot was waiting for us whenever we got there. We of course kept him in the loop as we had to stop 6 times to fix the awning that kept unfurling in the cross winds. I had to get a awning lock overnighted to install and was allowed to have it shipped to their home!
I didn't get to visit much with them but I hope to come back. From the south next time! Thanks for the great place to unwind from a hard day!
Allen and Kay
As George noted on our review, the saga of the fuel pump continues. We just received notification that the replacement finally shipped! We have everything prepped and ready to go when it arrives so hopefully the installation goes smoothly. Still feeling so blessed to have had this time here exploring the area and getting to know these amazing people. We even had some help from some of our amazing fellow boondockers. No matter what happens down the road, we will always have a big place in our hearts for Spaghetti’s Roost
We had a great stay. Only waited moments for them to come out. We had power for the night and they offered water, but we had just filled up. Met some very nice fellow campers there. There were 4 rigs total. Only 1 night stay, but will definitely stay again when in the area 😊👍
Super host! Greeted me as I arrived. What a beautiful spot. Easy to find from the interstate and very easy to park. If you are in Cheyenne make this a stop and rest spot. They are always welcome if they are in my area too!
If we didn't know how to laugh we would be crying! We should have been long gone by now, but setback after setback has kept us disabled here. We are now lovingly referred to as their "squatters" LOL When I finally got notice our fuel pump was delivered we were excited and relieved, but when I bounded up on George & Becky's porch to see a much smaller than expected box I was extremely confused. If George hadn't witnessed it I'm not sure anyone would have believed me, but where our fuel pump should have been was a lone spark plug!!! What a nightmare!!! If it wasn't for Becky & George's calming reassurance and wonderful sense of humor, I think I would have lost my mind long ago. Hopefully, the real fuel pump arrives soon & we can leave these lovely people alone. But honestly, we have truly enjoyed our time here and leaving will be bittersweet, but we will definitely swing back through next time we pass by, for a much shorter stay I hope ;-)
We have a large 5th wheel towed by a HDT. Large easy to negotiate property with beautiful views and sunsets! The hosts were very accommodating helping us fill our tank with water, allowing us to hookup to electricity and use their great WIFI! We enjoy peace and quiet and there was plenty of it here! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Spaghettis Roost!
The hosts at the Spaghetti’s Roost are wonderful! Easy in easy out, great views and quiet peaceful. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Setback is the name of the game for us right now, but that’s okay thanks to the grace of Ms. Becky & Mr. George. Nothing has gone as planned and things have been way better than they ever would have been otherwise because of where we ended up by chance. Kindness, compassion, empathy, hospitality, warmth, and so much more are all enormous pieces of the cornucopia that is Spaghettis Roost and that cornucopia is overflowing.
This is our 2nd stay at Spaghetti's Roost and it confirmed our first experience that our hosts are exceptional! They were able to accommodate us at the last minute due to a truck issue we needed to address in Cheyenne. We had 2 VERY peaceful nights of sleep, a beautiful sunset one of the evenings, and a pink sun (due to the fires in Colorado) this morning. Thank you GTS1544!
For fear of sounding like a broken record, our hosts are beyond words incredible and have done everything to make not only our stay, but the stays of all their Boondockers warm, welcoming, and incredibly comfortable. Even when there have been 3 or 4 decent sized rigs here it hasn’t felt crowded or intrusive. Having the ability to be connected to power, fill our fresh tank when needed, and even allowing us to have parts for our rig shipped here has been such a blessing. They also have some pretty decent WiFi that reaches out to our rig. We travel with our own AT&T hotspot which usually does a fine job so we don’t typically use WiFi at places we stay, but I did have an issue with the battery on our hotspot one day and had to tap in for a while and it was more than sufficient to do what I needed for work. It’s also pretty awesome that they use the money they get from donations for hookups (which is a more than fair amount), to invest in more cords and various other items to help make Boondockers stays even better. I’ve said it before and will continue to do so, we could not be more grateful to have lucked into this spot of all places to have a break down.
We traveled this way back in July and decided to give Boondockers a try for the first time and found Spaghetti's Roost and said yes this is the one. We had a great quiet couple of days and the view just blew us away. We visited their town and learned more about the area. This time we took advantage of the great view and just stayed on the property and played with our fur babies and enjoyed the relaxation.
We are more than happy that they were able to make room for us as at first we were not sure they would be able to but they did a great job fitting us in.
We look forward to coming back to Cheyenne and being a regular at their home.
Thanks for such a wonderful stay.
After traveling 18,000 miles in less than 16 months with 3 of those hunkered down, we decided to follow the rule of 2's: no more than 200 miles/ day, stop by 2 PM (for afternoon coffee!), and travel every 2nd day! Finding Spagetti's Roost in Cheyenne was a huge blessing for our plan.
The Spaghetti's Roost host is detail-focused (liked by this engineer), knowledgable about the area, and extremely accomodating. He even sent us warnings about nasty, incoming weather and to be particularly cautious.
The view from their home is beautiful, overlooking the eastern WY prairie. We had a wonderful rest day and were well prepared for our next leg. We look forward to the next time we pass through Cheyenne as we'll definitely make this a regular stop!
(Note, he did mention he had wifi available, but we did not avail ourselves of it as we have our own hotspot.)
This was the best experience we have had with BW! Our hosts were considering our needs the whole time that we were here. We were treated like family. We had a fairly level spot overlooking pasture and small ranches. So quiet and peaceful. It was exactly what we needed after having to evacuate from the wildfire.
We will make sure to return when we can spend time together and share stories.
Thank you so much for having us, you being part of Boondockers Welcome has been an absolute blessing.
We enjoyed our stay at Spaghetti Roost. The property was nice and flat with lots of space to socially distance. It was so nice having 30 amp electric to keep the ac running for the pups. Hosts even had water to fill your tank and great wifi. It was very convenient to all the sights in the Cheyenne area. If you are going to be anywhere near Cheyenne, we whole heartedly recommend staying at the Spaghetti Roost. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
We recently stayed at a wonderful place called Spaghetti’s Roost. A beautiful Boondockers haven overlooking the high plains in southern Wyoming. The hosts are wonderful people who help you get parked and value your privacy. We Han a little issue with electric but It was quickly resolved. This a very nice place and on our next trip through we will certainly stay here. Thank you very much.
I was able to stay at Spaghetti's Roost again and had a very peaceful and relaxing stay! The hosts are amazingly nice people and willing to share their homesite with other RV minded folks! They are also so very helpful with any hookup issues and have great knowledge of "all things RV" as well as where to camp in other areas that they recommend from their own RV trips! In these less than ideal times, it is reassuring to know that people like this couple are still out there helping others to enjoy life and the great outdoors! They offer power, water, and a peaceful setting. I did not use the WiFi but they offer that as well. Hope to stay again at Spaghetti's Roost in the future!
Our lovely hosts have made having a broken down rig a lot more tolerable. As we await the completion of our repairs, we have been fortunate enough to have the generosity of these awesome people and their beautiful home! It’s been an unexpected stay, but we couldn’t have asked for a better place to be “stuck”.
We truly love being the guests of these wonderful people. We are still here waiting out for our rig repairs and have gotten so see a decent amount of the local area. Hoping to see some more in the next few days (wanted to make it to the Black Hills before Sturgis, but didn't get the chance). It's been nice to be able to catch up on some work on our rig and just be able to take things a bit slower for a few days. Couldn't be more grateful for this amazing place and our lovely hosts!
Our stay at Spaghetti's Roost was perfect! The host was helpful and friendly and made every effort to make sure that we were comfortable and had what we needed.
Directions, arrival instructions, and other details were thorough and clear, which made our visit easy and stress-free. We greatly appreciated the use of their wifi and electric hookups, and they made an extra effort to make sure that all of the guests on their property had sufficient power by running extra cords and helping us park strategically to give easy access.
This was our first stay booked through Boondockers Welcome, and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the site. Thank you, and we hope to visit Spaghetti's Roost again in the future!
We absolutely loved our stay. The views were beautiful and we loved the breeziness. We stayed 5 days in August and never needed the AC - we just opened the windows!
The kids (and pup) loved being able to play in the large grassy yard and did not want to leave.
We had our own hotspot and did not need to access the host's WiFi, but we appreciated the offer to use it if needed.
We were also very appreciative for use of electricity and the ability to fill our water tanks.
During our stay we visited the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens (it's Free) and loved the Children's Garden. We also saw the state capital building. One day we took the 90 minute drive to Scotts Bluff in Nebraska. It was a beautiful (also Free) National Park where we got to learn about the Oregon Trail and see lots of gorgeous views!
Hosts were so nice - we enjoyed some socially distant discussions and would love to return again sometime.
Thanks so much for your generosity!
You will be hard-pressed to find a nicer pair of hosts! They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and they seem genuinely happy to have you visit! They can offer you information about local places if you want to see more of Cheyenne and the surrounding areas.
If a problem should arise they are quick to offer a solution. So very helpful and generous.
What is also a plus is the 5-day time frame they have as it actually allows you the time to rest from your long road trip and take a few days to explore and relax.
The sunsets are amazing and make the sky seem on fire with color! Truly breathtaking! Each and every evening the new one somehow more beautiful than the last.
I definitely recommend to all "Boondockers Welcome" members in the Cheyenne area to consider Spaghetti's Roost for a stay above the ordinary!
This was our first ever stay with a Boondocker’s Welcome host as we traveled from Texas to Montana to take our son to college. This wonderful couple created quite a standard with which to compare future stays. They communicated every detail of the journey from directions to their scenic property, to set up and most important for my 19 year old son a WiFi passcode. He met us outside and helped ,from an appropriate social distance , with set up. We enjoyed visiting with them both very much. The property was extremely quite and we got a perfect night’s sleep after a very long 2 days of travel. Thanks to this lovely couple for having a heart to share their property with fellow RVers.
Spaghetti’s Roost is a place we have found peace, comfort, and generosity beyond measure. We came rolling into Cheyenne with some nasty chassis problems and thanks to our wonderful hosts, we were able to locate a more than capable and trusted mechanic (so hard to find on the road) and will hopefully be good to go soon. Our eternal gratitude goes out to George & Becky, top notch doesn’t even begin to cut it!
Spaghetti’s Roost we’re so welcome to us for 2 nights at their front yard of a very large lot. We had 30 amps power (he has 15, 20 & 30 amps available depending on who is there). They also have well water to fill your tanks. They offer 2 WiFi options as well.
We had a restful time at their place, which was needed after lots of driving . Walmart and every store you’d ever need is only 5 miles away. The lot is fairly flat and took only a small amount of leveling.
They were so kind and We recommend Spaghetti’s Roost Boondocking site to everyone.
Very nice home in a beautiful area. Views are awesome and a really quiet neighborhood. I felt really comfortable and very safe, would definitely return. I thank the hosts for such a peaceful stay
The owners were great hosts. Very clear communication and directions. The driveway and yard are very easy to navigate and the views are awesome to wake up to!
Would highly recommend!
Thanks to the owners of the Spaghetti House, our stop was wonderful.
Absolutely loved our stay at Spaghetti’s Roost! The views were beautiful and the area was so peaceful. And the hosts are just lovely! Genuinely kind and helpful to every person we saw them interact with. We had a nice, level spot to park, and we were able to plug in, enjoyed some gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, and several fun thunderstorms. The hosts (and the spot) are gems , and we will definitely stay here again!
GTS1544 are super hosts. Showed us were to park and graciously loaned us their extension cord and adapter. Spaghetti’s Roost has awesome views and amazing sunrises and sunsets. There is tons of space to turn around on the property for the biggest of rigs. These hosts stayed in contact with us via email almost daily introducing us to any new arriving Boondockers. It was nice knowing who our fellow Boondocking neighbors were during this pandemic because we kept our social distance. They offer WiFi and give you passwords. We didn’t use it but it’s nice for those who need it. They gave us information to a free dump site and a place to refill our propane tanks. Any questions we had they promptly answered. We are grateful for everything! Blessings to GTS1544.
GTS host site is remarkably wonderful! Our hosts are also easy going and incredibly gracious having us on their land. We come up from Fort Collins mainly to play pickleball in Cheyenne. We will request other stays this summer too. Thanks to this host site, we are able to do that!
GTS1544 is a very hospitable host! Specious land and beautiful view. He is able to accommodate more than one BW guest, and it was fun to visit with fellow BW's. He is situated convenient to town. We enjoyed exploring the Capital Building and former train station, now museum. Hope to be able to return.
He was a wonderful host. The communication was amazing and thorough. He is very friendly even with the social distancing precautions.
He accommodated us very nicely even though he was hosting several others in his property.
He graciously got us all set up with power and offered us water.
The area to park is big enough to turn around in our 31 ft class c easily.
The sunset was gorgeous and the night breeze was super relaxing
We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this location and host
Our stay at Spaghett's Roost was quite enjoyable. Our host were very accomadating. There was plenty of room to maneuver our rig and tow dolly. I highly recomend this host.
Staying at Spaghetti’s Roost was a blessing. I am so grateful to them for being so accommodating and gracious. I could never repay their kindness.
A very bustling and happy Boondockers' paradise! Think there were 4 other campers the night we stayed. We had a slight miscue when we thought there would be 30 amp service to connect to but one of the other campers was already hooked up. Happily our very friendly host had no problem with us hooking up our generator for a few hours to charge devices and make some dinner, The property overlooks the mountains and is a huge grassy area that is relatively flat. It was cool enough to sleep with doors and windows open and we were treated to an evening lightning storm that we could see for miles in the wide open sky. It's hard to beat waking up to a view of the Rockies in the morning. We were glad to have a good night's rest before hauling the rig up those peaks the next day. Thanks for the hospitality!
Hail! Hail! The gangs all here!
Experienced our first and hopefully last Hail storm! Golf ball sized hail for what seemed like an eternity. When it was over Hosts came out to check on us and provided a ladder and plastic to cover the holes where our vents used to be. Fortunately they were able to extend our stay while we look for replacement vent fans.
Property up on a hill with views of the area. Convenient to Town and necessities. Gave detailed directions - our GPS followed them to a T.
Would stay here again if passing thru the area.
We had a lovely stay at Spaghetti Roost! The hosts couldn't be more accommodating, helpful, and so so so nice.
Becky and George are great hosts. They are there when you need them, but you are left free to enjoy the facilities they provide. Spaghetti's Roost is marked as one of my favorites.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Spaghetti's Roost! To begin with we were impressed with and grateful for the detailed and plentiful directions and instructions. The hosts go out of their way to make you feel at home. Mr. Spaghetti's Roost made us feel like family coming in from out of town as he greeted us upon arrival. We were given weather updates prior to our arrival and the host provided introductions of all of the other boondockers staying at his place. We were provided 30A service but it was so cool and breezy by late evening, we didn't need to use it beyond initially cooling down upon arrival. We were also offered initial and departing water tank fills but we didn't need to.
The view from the hill is spectacular and quiet. There was lots of room for our dog to run around and enjoy her stay too! 💕
We wish we could have stayed longer just to sit and talk to our host to learn more about him!
Gts1544 are amazing hosts. They had two other campers there and had room for us too. They were the nicest people ever and we had a blast talking with him when we arrived. We just stayed overnight but wow what a sunset all burnt orange and just beautiful.
George and Becky could not have been more accommodating. They provided everything one could possibly need. The facilities were top notch, the views great, and the hospitality unparalleled.
Three visits in last three weeks - "what else is there too say" - except Thanks
This was our 2nd time at the Roost and it seemed like a perfect bookend to spend our last night in WY where we spent our first a few weeks ago. We were running a little late and the owner graciously allowed us to enter just after dark. We pulled to the East in the open field and enjoyed our cool, breezy evening.
Great spot. Wonderful hosts.
Definitely will be back
Our stay at Spaghetti's Roost was wonderful. He met us on arrival and directed us to our spot and made electric available to us and then just left us to settle in and make ourselves at home. For us they are the perfect host, available if you need them but not intrusive. This is a beautiful place on a ridge with views everywhere you look. We enjoyed exploring Cheyenne and having this place to come back to. I would like to stay again if we travel through this area again
My only comment was we did not have enough time to get better acquainted before we had to leave. George made sure we had all the information to find his “roost” and how to get set up and greeted us personally to make sure we had everything we needed. A gracious host and a really nice guy. Beautiful property lots of room and what a view. Thank you George and Becky for your generous hospitality and hope to meet again.
Tom and Karyn
We were fortunate to be able to stay 4 nights at Spaghetti's Roost. Our wonderful hosts, who provided interesting conversation and great information, gorgeous landscape and sunsets and peaceful evenings, made our stay memorable. We were so grateful for the 20 amp electric hookup, as well as waterfill, as several days were in the 90s. We hope to return again and plan to remain in contact with our new friends! We highly recommend this host site.
Host is very nice and helpful, property is beautiful and very easy to access + great views! Would definitely stay there again!
We booked 2 nights at the Spaghetti Roost the same day we hit WY and could not have picked a better spot! This is our first trip of the year and our first time in WY. The owner sent me detailed directions and plenty of helpful advice in case we needed anything on our way to his place. We pulled in and were greeted with a big smile, hearty handshake and immediately felt like we were home. He gave us a few parking options as well electric to run the AC to keep the pups cool the first night.
The drive to the Roost is quite easy. The final approach road is wide, smooth and shouldn't be an issue for any size rig. The final turn into the driveway is also spacious, but pay attention to the ditches on both sides. Hehad warned us and again, no issues.
The parking spots are nearly perfectly level, and on top of the ridge. That means, there is always a breeze...sometimes 30+MPH :-)
We originally booked 2 nights as we wanted to do day trips to Cheyenne and Laramie. He kindly offered additional nights, and we would have stayed if we hadn't had more sights to see.
Speaking of sights. The owner is an avid RV'er and gave us some great tips on where to go, stay and visit in our time around/in Yellowstone.
I give the Spaghetti Roost and the owner(sorry never had the pleasure to meet Mrs) 5 stars.
PS: This reference would have been published quicker if I hadn't had to take out the owner's first name and replace with 'owner'. He is so friendly, it was difficult to write this without using his first name.
Our stay here was short, only one night, but it was amazing. We were met by the host and immediately liked him. He showed us were to park and hook up, sent us a WiFi password and left us to set up. He was very warm and welcoming and we’d love to visit again.
GTS1544 were great host! They kept us updated on current weather conditions, as we arrived in a classic Wyoming thunderstorm with rain and hail for our first Boondockers Welcome stay. Once the storm passed, the view of the sunset was spectacular. The property had plenty of room for our dog to play after being in the motorhome all day. Even with our troubles parking and getting stuck (our inexperience), I would not hesitate to stay with them again. Their wifi connection worked without any difficulties at all. We look forward to another opportunity to stay with them and enjoy Cheyenne.
Venturing into something ew like Boonedockers Welcome we didn’t know what to expect. GTS1544 was wonderful on communication prior to our arrival, very accommodating during our stay, and all around wonderful hosts. Plenty of space for our rig, play yard games, and wonderful scenery. I highly recommend them as the place to stay in Cheyenne Wyoming. Should we make our way back we will certainly be requesting a stay with GTS1544!
GTS1544 is an affable host that welcomes travelers with offers of water, electricity, and a very pleasant parking space. Spaghettis Roost is atop a low ridge affording cool breezes, and a view of an expansive of native short grass prairie dotted with ranchettes. There is plenty of quiet and the electricity is sweer.
Nothing like an exploding tire and road work backing up traffic in Denver to ruin one's day! When we finally pulled it was insanely late but our host and his son popped up out of the house to guide us to electricity to keep our freezer from thawing. The following day he let us stay while we tried in vain to find a replacement tire on a Sunday. Fortunately, we made it home with no more flats.
Enjoyed the quiet, nice view, host provided 20 amp service.....will try and stay again in few weeks upon return to area.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at spaghetti’s roost! Awesome views. Though the host WiFi was down for a bit our router worked just fine from the location. Att signal is good there. The hosts checked in frequently and met any needs we had :)
What a wonderful, beautiful night we had. It was quiet, peaceful and the views were stunning. Our Hosts were just fantastic and were very accommodating to us offering water and electric. We would love to come back and stay with them again when in their area. Thank you, we appreciate you.
Can’t say enough about our great host! We felt welcomed from the minute we arrived! So happy to have a little electric power, and the great tasting well water. There is plenty of room to park, without feeling crowed. And our host did everything possible to make us comfortable! We hope we have an opportunity some day to return. Highly recommended!!!
My hosts have a beautiful home on a hill on the prairie.....one of my favorite sounds is wind whistling through the screens and nothing else but the sounds of birds and grass waving in the breeze.....my gracious hosts hooked me up with electric, had fresh water to top off my tank and provided me with incredibly grand vistas all around, dark skies at night, chilly and comfortable inside the coach.....If I am back this way I will definitely stay here again! Thank you!
The owners of the Spaghetti Roost were so kind and patient as I maneuvered my rig into place to access the 30 amp electric. They are very knowledgeable about the area and would often supply directions for our destinations. They even invited us to share a campfire with their family one evening!!
Spaghetti's Roost was a lovely place with a great view of the countryside, quiet & peaceful. Our hosts were very kind, accommodating and helpful. The location is convenient to shopping and excursions which are only a short drive.
Great views and very quiet. Due to the Covid we did not interact much with the hosts but they were very helpful in answering texts immediately and with lots of detail. They were very helpful in finding an RV dump site for us which by the way all the Rest stops along I 25 seem to have RV dump sites for free. Thoroughly enjoyed hiking at Vedauwoo national Forest and would recommend a stop there if time permits.
This is our first BW experience and it did not disappoint! Our hosts were not only very gracious and accommodating but were also very respectful of our Covid-19 social distancing concerns.
We were provided a level place to set up with awesome views, offered fresh water if we needed it, were given a 30 amp electrical hookup and offered free WIFI. We took advantage of one of 2 WIFI sources provided and it had a strong signal with better performance than the Jetpack we normally use. We also ran our AC on a warm day and when we asked our host where to leave the suggested nominal fee - he refused it and said it was their treat!
Our GPS delivered us to the property with no issues, the access is easily navigated and the location is very convenient to downtown Cheyenne. We had dinner from Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant (awesome food BTW) delivered via DoorDash while we were here and were enjoying it in less than 30 minutes.
We highly recommend this host and would stay here again in a heartbeat!
I was very impressed by SPAGHETTI'S ROOST!
In fact, I went to the Olive Garden to have some. Lol!
Mr GTS1544 met me upon arrival to direct me to the many locations to park.
I decided to truly Boondock because I wanted to test my Solar System.
But more importantly to wakeup w the beautiful views out both sides of my RV.
Yes! I do recommend this nice location & would definitely return,
if I was promised to have the opportunity to meet Mrs GTS1544.
Just kidding, kind-of. A sincere thank you to both of my hosts.
First BW experience. We hope they are all as good as this. Our host greeted us and helped us get situated with water and electric. Extremely welcoming experience. Couldn’t be happier.
We had a 32’ Class A with motorcycle trailer. Navigating was not an issue.
The first thing you notice upon your arrival is that the house is sitting right on top of a very large Hill. Impressive View. We were greeted by the host and promptly made to feel at home as we filled up our water tanks and then moved our camper over to the appropriate spot, hooking up to the available 30 amp circuit. The host had company over for dinner so we were not able to visit very much. But, really enjoyed our stay there and would certainly do it again. Would highly recommend this site for people traveling in this area. Thanks again for taking good care of us! Sincerely appreciated.
Our Harvest Host location for the night in Colorado ended up being too tight for our big rig, so last minute I sent a message asking if we could show up late....and a day early. We were prepared to park at a truck stop if we needed to but shortly after sending a message, we got a YES! Thank you again for letting us show up early. Beautiful location. Wow. The views go on for miles and very quiet. Short ride to town.
We are so thankful that we were able to stay at this beautiful location. Our host was very helpful with any questions (by email as social distancing was in play) and welcomed us to his home. The land was beautiful! Our doodle had a blast playing ball on the open land.
Thank you so much for accepting our request during this time of COVID. We appreciate you!
This was our first Boondockers Welcome stay. GTS1544 were very pleasant and hospitable. Great conversation was had. We feel blessed that they shared their property with us! Plenty of flat space with ability to fill water and use 30 amp power. Wonderful Hosts! We would definitely stay anytime they’d have us! A great experience.
Our hosts were so gracious allowing us to fill our tank with some delicious tasting water. They met us and gave options to park in the wide open prairie . Our fur babies enjoyed running and being off leash. If not for pandemic situation we would have enjoyed spending more quality time getting to know them better.
What a beautiful place to retire to! We had only one night at Spaghetti's Roost but would have enjoyed a longer visit and would have loved to socialize with our hosts. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus situation, we had to settle for a short visit, communicating at a distance (6 ft). Still, they were gracious and accommodating. Ideal hosts. We would definitely return.
My wife and I had a great stay here as the guests of GTS1544 and his wife. We had beautiful 360 degree views of the surrounding prairie and mountains. Hosts were very accommodating in helping us select a good spot to set up (with the bonus of 110 power) and because of the Covid 19 they gave us good tips on the local area via email daily. It was a great spot for our dog to run and get some exercise. It is a great place to boondock on the edge of town with lots to do and see. We would love to stay here again when we are in the area.
Very gracious host with detailed instructions and beautiful view from the property.
We stayed two nights on our host’s land.....and had a relaxing time for the both of us and our dog, Roscoe. Communication with our hosts was extremely good, especially during this time of “socially distancing” because of Covid. We came up to play pickleball with friends and will be back!
We parked up on the ridge with 300 degree views of the area. We saw ground squirrels, rabbits and a multitude of birds.
The hosts really tried to give us any and all help they could with information on the local area. We were disappointed we couldn't have interacted more due to the weather and the covid-19 restrictions.
We thank them very much for their hospitality it was much appreciated.
Our hosts we’re very kind and communicated well through messages due to the coronavirus. They did come to the porch to wish us well on our travels. The property was very easy to find and had plenty of space to accommodate us. We highly recommend this host!
We are Canadian and try to return in our Country faster than usually. In the special situation cause by Coronavirus, they accepted and offered us all commodity possible. We respected the social distancing for them and for us. Thank you so much. Their site is large and the view is awesome. Dump is just less than 5 minutes from there. It was very quiet and our dog were able to run and to play often.
Perfect spot just outside of Cheyenne. you'd never know you are only 10 minutes to as much shopping and amenities as you could ask for. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Directions are spot on and road and driveway are super easy to navigate. Expect a constant "breeze" and great cellular signal on top of the hill. Highly recommended!
Came for 1 to 2 nights, stayed 8 due to horrendous hail storm our 1st night. Hosts were accommodating extending us until we were able to find parts to repair damage to roof vents and skylight.
Upside is afforded us the time to really see Cheyenne, a great little town. Go see Botanical Gardens. Train Depot, capitol Building, state Museum and Governor's Mansion if you can.
Thanks for another positive boondocker welcome experience!
When our plans changed on short notice, we had to keep driving to the west coast without stopping overnight. Although we had to cancel with this host, he called back and told us about some great places to pull over and park en route so we could catch a couple hours of sleep. Thank you so much!
