I and my husband, Greg, have been nomads for 8 years. The first 5 of those years were spent sailing for 8 months out of the year exploring the Bahamas and Florida. The other 4 months we spent house sitting and working in a small neighborhood near downtown Atlanta, a historic mill village called Cabbagetown where we used to own a home. Three years ago we bought a camper van and drove across the country. We loved it so much that in 2018 we sold our beloved sailboat for more land adventures.
Greg and I both love the outdoors. We love hiking and exploring. We love museums and learning new things.
We spent our last summer house sitting in Cabbagetown in 2019. A little bit of retirement income has kicked in and now we can travel full time. Looking forward to roaming the continent full time.
Greg is pretty handy with tools. For the last 8 years he has been making his living as a house painter. Before that he was in IT - but we don't talk about that any more. Greg plays the guitar, ukelele and is learning the accordion.
Duwan is great a figuring anything out. She is good with design software and loves doing web design and developement.
In the middle of nowhere. Love the southwest. Love southeastern California. I don't think I could pick a favorite.
I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. Greg is originally from Jupiter southern Florida. For four years together we called a small neighborhood in Atlanta, GA named Cabbagetown our home until we hit the road (and the seas). We have been returning there to work and house sit for the last 8 years but will be on the road full time come October 2019.
Our rig is an outfitted hightop Ford Transit Van. The rig is 17' long and about 9.5' high. It is completely self-contained and runs off solar.
We didn’t get to know this couple very well, so we hope they return for another, longer stay some time.
short visit, lots to talk about. Hope they come back this way again to I stay a little longer.
We so enjoyed hosting these 2 intrepid and experienced travelers and getting a chance to chat with them. They came and went without any problems and added pamphlets to our collection of Places to See and Things to Do. We hope they are getting a well deserved rest after all the sightseeing they did.
Quick overnight stay but we were able to chat a little. Great people and welcome back any time!
They parked the vehicle in the driveway and were very quiet. Left early. Happy to have you back in Morristown anytime.
A quick stop and met some real nice people. Glad you came by and would welcome you again.
We weren't able to meet as we are in China until next June or so but all good and we were able to communicate via email and my security cameras.
We enjoyed their conversation and company. My goats jumped all over the couple and they liked it!. They were good sports and they are welcome back anytime.
Communication was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Welcomed back anytime. Safe travels.
Sadly I didn't get to chat much with my guests as I was sick. They communicated their arrival perfectly and were super quiet. Would have loved to hear about their journey, but I'll just have to look up their blog !! Welcome anytime...
WE enjoyed having Duwan. Friendly folks and they spent a quiet night in our back yard. I especially enjoyed hearing about the sailing adventures on the high seas!
