Retired couple that enjoy traveling the highways and byways whenever we can in our class b motor home. Was a certified RV technician many moons ago but still have many of those skills.
We have 1 cat that is ours and my sister keeps her 2 horses and miniature donkey on our property. None of them travel with us.
Winnebago Travato 59K
They emailed and said that they’d be later than expected, which I had previously told them was no problem for us. They sanitized the electric box and hose when they were finished. We’d gladly host them again.
Arrived later in evening due to road construction and traffic but kept us well informed
Of progress. Had a little chat but left early in am hopeful will get a chance to meet again
And have more time to talk.
We only had a short stay, but the property is beautiful and right next to a park which was ideal for our little girl and dog to play at. The hosts were very kind and hospitable, and they gave us our privacy which we always appreciate. This stay was perfect for us.
Our short stay was packed with a busy schedule so we didn't get to spend as much time visiting and enjoying the fantastic little farm as we would have liked. The host and hostess were wonderful, very pleasant and most accomodating. Their property is beautiful and peaceful. We look forward to another stay when we're back in the area and look forward to having more time to visit.
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Windy Ridge. Beautiful area, rolling hills, sweeping pastures and horses. Their property was easy to find, and although our hosts were not there when we arrived, they texted me detailed instructions beforehand with photos of how to park, and where the water and electric hookups were. It was quiet and peaceful and we slept soundly. Unfortunately, it rained for two days so we were not able to enjoy visiting with them on their patio, but it looked lovely and we would love to come back someday and share stories with them. Thanks so very much for your wonderful hospitality!
We parked our 31’ travel trailer on a pad in front of the barn. They had 30 amps and water. The park across the street had a nice asphalt walking trail. Timcd1st were perfect host. Visited with them on their back patio. Would love to stay again when in the area.
What perfect hosts for a first timer! Lovely setup, lovely people, and a beautiful area. Thanks for sharing you special piece of the world with fellow travelers. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area!
Thanks for hosting us! Loved the quiet night. A much needed break after a long day. Stay well!
Words can't say enough for these gracious hosts. They are very kind, helpful, and giving. They had a wonderful outdoor movie night for their family that they invited us to be part of. My motorhome had developed a water leak around the water manifold and he jumped right in making a leak-free repair. Thank you, thank you, thank you! The property is located in a very quiet, safe, beautiful area. God bless you both!
We were privileged to happen upon Windy Ridge for our first stay on Boondockers. Tim and his wife are wonderful hosts, but they also have tens of thousands of miles of experience as guests as well. They value freedom to do whatever you are doing and give space but while still being there if you need anything. We came in later at night, but had a great night's sleep going through rural central Maryland, and glad we got to talk for a bit the next day. Highly recommended stay, and very savvy couple. Truly lovely patch of Earth by the way.
Such a great spot but best of all genuinely nice folks who care about their guests being comfortable. So helpful with setting up and sharing amenities in any way they could.
We did a bit of chatting standing out in the misty weather but hope to visit again and spend time visiting on the patio. Better yet stay there on a movie night!
Thank you again and we will be back!
Timcd1st was such a welcoming and gracious host. He was very helpful in getting me all set up in the parking spot and level. I enjoyed my entire stay thoroughly between their lovely patio and walking at the park across the street at dusk (the trail is not shaded, and it was HOT during the day in the sun!). Back at the house, I loved all the landscaping, seeing such a variety of plants, trees, flowers, etc. There were always butterflies around, and I even caught the birds using the birdbath once. =) They were out of town for much of my visit, but we got the chance for some conversation the first evening. I would love to come by again and get to chat more. =)
Note: There is a siren for the volunteer fire department. No big deal, but it's good to know that it's not a tornado siren, LOL.
Our second stay with these super nice folks! We reached out to them after discovering we were in the path of a hurricane coming up the coast and needed to leave that area. Again our hosts were so nice, they gave us the location of an RV dump station in the area and also some tips on where to go during the next stint of our travels North. Sorry we didn’t get to chat more, the weather didn’t really clear up until the morning we were leaving. Very appreciative for the stay-Thanks so very much.
We were met by our gracious hosts who showed us where to park and hook up to electric and water. We had a good conversation about our travels through Michigan and they gave us some tips on where to go while in the area. One of the nice things about our stay was to sit and watch their horses, also directly across the street is a huge park with walking trails and ponds and we liked that a lot. When I had an issue with my power cord (it was not working on the standard outlet) our host came out and installed a 30 amp outlet for me to try and it worked perfectly after that. Cant believe how cool that was, I was floored by their kindness. Very nice people, hope we have an opportunity to stay again.
It was easy to get there, the host was very friendly, and my dog liked walks in the park across the street.
My hosts were so nice. They met me and got me hooked up to water, elec and wifi. What a beautiful ranch. We didn't get to visit because of the social distance. Got to meet the cutest donkey that my dog fell in love with.
Will definitely stop again and would recommend.
We had such a nice time at this hosts farm. Visited with Zak the mini donkey and his horse buddies, rode bikes in local Park and walked the farm lane for after dinner stroll. Spent very enjoyable time visiting and chatting with our hosts. Left with a lot of new places to travel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
They we incredible host and generous with their knowledge and their time and helped us with our RV, beautiful spot.
