I have been here on this old pice of land since 1988.
Beautiful site on the sunny side of the blue ridge mountains.
The river is in full roll spring and most falls and slows to a mere dribble in the summer.

Idyllic and Rural

Traveling north through Shenandoah National Park to arrive here, this was worth the trip. Site was located between a pond and a brook in a mown meadow with irises in bloom. The host greeted me and carefully guided me to the camping spot. Though he reported that deer and bear frequent the area, the only wildlife I saw during my one-night stay was a red fox. I did, however, hear a loud snort outside my rig the middle of the night. The host is most welcoming with engaging conversation, and I consider myself fortunate to have been able to visit. Note: The only cell phone service that works in this location is Sprint. My Verizon service was totally dead here.
