Sandi and I have been together 30+ years. I am 75, she's much younger. I came from a corporate industrial sales background, Sandi from the residential real estate and home construction business. We are retired, I free lance write and do photography, Sandi is an artist that sculpts miniature scale model foods and builds room settings. We travel 3-4 months of the year enjoying the beauty of our country while moving in a leasurly pace off the Interstates on blue highways. We are ex-blue water (Lake Superior) sailors so we enjoy the quieter, but not necessarily less exciting things in life. This former experience naturally attracts us to waterfront sites when available.
Our dog Nikki is a precocious nine year old Australian Shepherd puppy that is a happy and inquisitive companion that always goes with us. We do not leave her in the A/S when we are gone.
We enjoy meeting new and interesting people and learning about their lives, occupations and travels. Most of all we enjoy staying in touch with those whom we develope that quick, but deep bond. We blog our travels, Sandi stays in-touch with individuals on Face Book. We have found many times that just a short time spent with traveling neighbors turns into a lifetime of intense friendship.
Many skills to a minor degree, many opinions about how something should have been done and generally quick to offer an unexpert hand if there is something that should be done.
Digital and film still photography is a skill as well as computer writing. Sandi has the artist's eye and skills coupled with a kind soul and sharp mind. She's beautiful as well which make it a nice package.
Big Bend NP, Anza Borrego, BLM lands in the western states, COE lands along the major rivers in the US, Magnolia Beach in TX, NF C/G's in MN and MI, vineyards and orchards with Harvest Hosts, occassional back country camps when ranchers or farmers offer their land, and the Charles Russell National Wildlife Refuge in MT.
We are looking forward to meeting and enjoying new experiences with Boondockers.
Our trailer is a '05 CCD 28' Airstream. We have full awnings, but no slide outs. We are self contained with water, waste and shower. We carry plenty of battery power so our Honda 2000 generator is only used after 2-3 days. Our truck is a 4x4 Chevy Silverado diesel. 4x4 helps with parking and not chewing up grass and/or ground at campsites.
