Rog was a pilot during his career and is now mostly retired. Bonnie is a flight attendant for a major US airline. As RVers ourselves, we have traveled across the country and to and from Alaska in a variety of different RVs. Boondocking is something we’ve been doing since before it even had an official name. Our current RV is an over-sized Bigfoot slide in truck camper that travels in the bed of our diesel powered Dodge dually. We are both non-smokers and choose to not share our space with smokers, many of whom throw their butts on the ground and simply make a mess. We want none of that so please find another place if you feel the need to smoke.
Rog is a tool guy and pretty good at building and repairing things. Boats, airplanes, horses, gardening, and home repair, are some of the things we enjoy tinkering with and learning about.
We have an old and friendly dog who will probably bark as you come onto our property. Her name is Coco and she is a friendly old gal. We also have three inside cats. Your friendly pets are welcome as long as they don’t bother our animals. Our dog travels with us but the rest of the critters prefer to be at home.
We always enjoy being next to a fast moving stream when traveling the back roads.
We currently live near the small town of Guyton, GA, about 35 minutes northwest of Savannah Hilton Head International Airport.
We have an extended cab Dodge Diesel truck that carries an 11' Bigfoot slide-in truck camper. We are totally self-contained. We frequently travel with Coco, our 16 1/2 year old 50# mutt. She is friendly, but a bit insecure, and we keep her on a leash unless in an area that specifically allows dogs to be off leash. She has never been aggressive to other dogs of any size and snuggles with our cats at home and was best buddies with Ruby the rabbit, or house rabbit that passed away a year ago.
It was nice to host a fellow boondocking host. They're a very appreciative couple and they are more than welcome to boondock at our place again whenever they come back to the Central Florida area.
Very accommodating hosts. We booked the reservation last minute as we were passing though the area. They provided detailed directions to a private and very flat field. Because of our shared COVID concerns, we were not able to meet “up close and personal “, but they were kind enough to wave and say hello from their back yard, about 75 yards from where we parked.
We had a great experience at Bonnie Brook Farm. It was a nice and level place to park, and they were able to provide us with electricity for the night. The view of the sunset over the farm was a beautiful bonus. Thanks again!
I enjoyed my stay here. Roger was accomodating and the location was excellent. I really enjoyed the fact that I could see all the stars. Would recommend.
The host was kind enough to extend my stay a day, which allowed me to take care of some things in town.
This host went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant, including sharing grilled chicken and vegetables! I was able to use 110v for my RV which uses 30 amps. If you have 50 amp you would be on your own. He offered a hose to fill my water tank, which I use to wash my dog and my hair! I had a delightful, quiey stay. His dog is very friendly which made it great for my dog, who is somewhat shy. I highly recommend this host and his beautiful property.
This was my second stay. Love the open expanse rural feel of this location. Quiet and dark to think so look for an Boondocking sites.
Nice sunset in the western sky.
My host was very attentive if there was anything I needed. Made sure I was careful in case the ground was too soft.
We stayed with our travel trailer, tow vehicle, and chase vehicle. Had 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs. We had a very pleasant stay at bonnie brook farms. They chatted our kids up and made them feel right at home. The kids loved having a huge field to run around and play in as well.
Great stay and highly recommend them for a nice stay in the Savannah GA area.
WE really enjoyed the stay even though it was short. Pumpkin our dog loved meeting all the new friends, both people and canine.
I personally love to get out in the country.
The area is low country, flat sandy soil.
Plenty of space, dark sky, quiet night.
My only regret is I arrived later than I wanted and didn’t have enough time to chat with my host.
The host met me at the gate and guided me in and hooked me up. I was so tired so didn't socialize but beautiful spot for a rest.
Rog was very hospitable and although it was a short stay we would highly recommend it and hope to visit again.
We enjoyed a few nights in this peaceful properties.
About 45 minutes out of Savannah, the ride to the old historic town was also quite lovely in the fall with all the different colors.
Roger was very communicative and made the process of arriving and staying very easy.
He built a nice fire every night so we could all join and share some time together with the other boondockers.
Our dogs were allowed to roam free on the property which they loved.
Would recommend anytime.
Thank you for the hospitality!
Really enjoyed my stay here with roger.
We spent the evening sitting around a campfire with his two other guests.
This is what it’s all about.
Community.
If you stay here you will be very comfortable and safe.
Roger and Bonnie please come visit Wisconsin
We were on our way to Jekyll Island from Charleston and Bonnie Brook Farm was the perfect stop over. Our host greeted us and let us into his gated farm, directing us to the back of his property. Though we didn't take advantage of the offering of electric, water and grey water dump, they are available.
After dinner we enjoyed an nice fire on the patio, great conversation over adult beverages. The farm is located about a quarter mile off the highway making for a quiet restful sleep.
Highly recommended. We look forward to our next visit.
