Many past mini-careers. I did a 6 year stint in the navy, did some road construction and home building, worked many years at various manufacturing plants, and I am currently a self employed licensed electrician (very part time).
I sold my 24 acre homestead in the mountains of western North Carolina in August of 2019, scaled down, and now part timing it at a friend’s farm (still in WNC). This beautiful farm just north of Asheville NC will be my landing spot between travels.
I have a 2018 featherlite 6X12 cargo trailer I converted into a self contained solar powered cool camper. Enjoying the fun and adventures!
My tow vehicle is a 2019 Nissan Frontier 4X4.
I thoroughly enjoy music, and have quite the eclectic taste. From the Grateful Dead to Frank Zappa, from Del McCurry to Led Zeppelin, from Willie Nelson to Hayes Carll, and many many more! I prefer my music fresh, but am pretty happy having it canned as well.
I’ve lived in nearly a dozen different states from childhood to now from coast to coast. Now I’m ready to travel to some of those same ones and many more and actually spend some time soaking up the local vibes and seeing and experiencing!
Electrician, and somewhat of a handyman jack of all trades, track-hoe operator, critical thinker

I did not get to meet this guest because I was out of town but he was lovely, quiet and respected the property. My friend who was there let me know everything was great and Festy was a great guest. Maybe next time we will meet.
Festy's solar set up allowed him access to my whole property. He chose the front yard because it's wide open. He seemed to enjoy exploring Savannah and is welcome here anytime!
What a lovely human being! You can tell that this guy is genuine. I enjoyed his company. He was a great guest, very quite and well mannered. He’s welcome back anytime and I hope our paths cross again.
he came back for a second visit, helped me with a small electrical problem welcome back anytime
enjoyed hosting this nice man and great conversation around the campfire, welcome back anytime
Always good to visit and hear updated adventure stories.
He is always welcome and glad he got to play with old friends while visiting.
Festy was quiet and clean. He kept busy with activities and sight-seeing in the area so we didn't get much time to hang out. It was great to chat with him for the brief time we did have. Thanks for stopping by and enjoying our little spot.
Festy was a perfect guest. He is smiley, pleasant, quiet and interesting. We hardly knew he was here. He would be welcomed back anytime! Safe travels, Festy!
festy was just the type of BoonDocker I wanted staying here... he built up his own custom RV out of a 12' cargo trailer... it was awesome.. very simple and functional... got to visit som , wanted to learn more from him... nice gentlemen... please come bak!!
Fun man to share campfire stories with. He came in perfect time to share his amazing talents as well.
He entertained himself and made me feel like a gracious host.
Festy was, hands down, a delightful guest to host. He was up and running every day to take full advantage of things to see and do in the area. We live in the country far away from town. Festy was always kind enough to check before leaving for the day to see if there was anything in town that he could pick up for us.
We enjoyed having Festy here at Hill Haven. The cargo trailer turned camper has had a lot of thought put into it. Hope he stops on his way back through so we can hear about his boondocking experiences...or maybe we will see him someplace along the way!
Perfect guest. He is kind and considerate and a good conversationalist. His built out trailer, which he gave me a tour of, is neat. He was very quiet during his stay. I recommend him as a guest and will welcome back anytime.
