Beautiful green, quiet spot. Our host was very helpful and prepared for guests. Enjoyed our short visit.
Would highly recommend this spot and stay again if we were traveling through the area.
So hospitable! He helped us back in to the spot and provided additional power cords for electric hookup. He pointed out the bike trail and brought firewood so we could enjoy a peaceful campfire. He also gave us a parting gift of a dozen eggs from his chickens. Location is a 30 mins drive to Garden of the Gods which is fantastic! Would highly recommend!!
My wife and I are new members and this was our first stay. We had visited Garden of the Gods hiking trail and were ready to settle in for the night. We were greeted by Steve, who directed us into our large and level spot with power and water. Once we got settled he presented us with a dozen farm fresh eggs from his chickens. In the morning we opened our shades to see a view of trees as if I’m parked in the largest campsite I’ve ever had. What an absolutely great first Boondockers experience at Land of Goshen!! Thanks so much for your hospitality AND the power cord extension!! Eggs were delicious!!!
This place gave us a much needed boondocking breather. We were invited to top up on water, use the electricity, and our host even offered a few extra eggs from his chickens. We were close to town and about half an hour from Garden of the Gods so the location was perfect. If you’re ever in the area, this is the place to stay.
Julie and I found this to be a very relaxing stay. Our host was very accommodating and helpful as we got set up and throughout our two-day visit. There is a nice cycling/walking path nearby. The weather was mostly sunny and comfortable with a few occasional showers. The Google Map link on the profile led us a little astray. Be sure to use the directions included in the profile. One of our favorite 'Boon-docker' stays so far.
Land of Goshen was the perfect host. Great communication upon arrival. Directed us to a great spot next to his pole barn with electricity and water. Even helped us next day when we needed a little bit of repair work on our roof.
Will definitely stop by again and hope to stay a day to use the bike path nearby and be able to interact a little more without pandemic restrictions.
Steve provided excellent instructions for reaching his site, and helped us back our rig into a quiet spot in the grass next to his garage facing the woods - almost like we were by ourselves. There was some incline to navigate into the spot but made for a easy straight pull to exit. We stayed for two nights (waiting out the cold back home) and were never disturbed by any noise. Great place to stay, hope we get down that way again - would stay again.
One note - If your are coming up 24 from the south google will want to take you on some really narrow roads with no shoulder as the more direct route. Stay on 24 to 57 and exit at Marion if you prefer wider roads.
Very nice quiet place to spend and evening while travelling. Steve was very quick to answer texts and offer routes. If you have a big rig. PAY ATTENTION to what he says. We had a nice visit with his family.
We had some unexpected circumstances that prevented us from visiting and had to cancel our stay They were so understanding and considerate. We are looking forward to staying with them in the near future.
