Last time we "RV'd" was in the "Yellow Banana Boat", our ancient VW van, all 6 volts and 1200 cc's of her, breaking down all the way through southern Mexico. That was 40 years ago. Now we are starting over with a little more elbow room and reliability (knock on wood).

Just back from our Oregon trip. Beautiful! Got home, crawled under and through the coach to upgrade the battery idiot lights to a real battery monitor. Trying to figure out how to go more than 2 days without new juice.

Skills & Expertise to Share

I was a reasonably good carpenter at one time, and still pretty good at fixing things in general. Of course we don't yet have modern day boondocking skills to share, but I remember lots of sketchy places we used to duck into for the night in our old van.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

Next month we are heading to some places we have never been, Crater Lake, the Columbia River Gorge, and unknown points after that.
