We are a couple of retired Colorado transplants from Vermont. A retired RN and a semi retired woodworker, with a six year old lovable spoiled dog who has us pretty much trained - and a new kitten.
Lovers of the outdoors. Into gardening and providing sewing and alteration services. Archery hunting preferred that coexists with a devoted lover of animals and the natural world around us.

So happy to have Falconbuff visit Vermont. Very quiet guests, rarely here as they used our location for a home base. When we did sit, we had great conversations, RV life and places we might enjoy during the winter. Come back soon and we can talk about tractors and brush piles!
When I say cool I'm referring to the temp. I was here mid summer, and waking up sweating everyday before this. Since it's on a hill, it's a lot cooler. Address and gps coordinates do not match (just a heads up). Gravel road for a while leading up to the house. Just a warning.
Lovely spot with a gracious host. We enjoyed our short stay and felt very refreshed after a long day of driving eastbound on I-50. Allow additional time to make your way through the countryside and up the road to the ranch. Washboard was harsh so make sure your gear is stowed securely. Host has wifi which has enough bandwidth to map your next route. Recommended!
The road into Falcon Buff is a little daunting, but so worth it. This spot is beautiful, secluded and quiet with gorgeous mountain views. The hosts were warm and welcoming inspite of having another rig with out of town family arriving at the same time. We did enjoy a nice visit with our host the next morning before leaving and saw his wood working shop and some of his skilled carpentry.
We enjoyed a peaceful stay with gracious hosts far away from the heat of summer.
Reserved this spot for 2 days so we could explore Colorado Springs, Piles Peak and mining town around the area. The communications with the host was great. Coming from Hwy 24 you drive through some beautiful valleys. That alone was worth the trip. As you approach the final road it is a little washboard but not for long.
Tip: keep driving on Apache Rd past where Google tells you to go, up the a hill to the left and then you will see the FalconBluff Ranch sign.
The Host met us and showed us around his property. He has 2 level spots next to his house with 15amp but if you want a great view of Pikes Peak to the East go up on the hillside and bookdock. Easy access for my truck camper. Very minimal traffic, quiet nights and a billion stars.
What a great find.
We really enjoyed our visit at Falconbuff Ranch. The host were awesome people and very helpful. If you are anywhere near the area, we highly recommend staying. Thanks for a great stay.
Stephen and Pamela are great hosts. They greeted and directed me when I arrived and provided electricity and water to us.
I had great and pleasant conversations with Stephen and visited his shop next morning. Can’t ask for a better hosts. We promised to keep in touch and hope they come to Salt Lake some day and stay with us so that I can return the favor.
Thank you so much!!!
The hosts were very kind, generous, and just a joy to get to know. My dog really had fun playing with their dog and cat too. I highly recommend visiting them and hope to be back soon.
Great host and communication. Had some personal issues that kept me from interacting more this time around, but I would LOVE the opportunity to try again!
Thank you for everything!
This property is gorgeous. The hosts are very kind and nice to chat with. Walked around their wonderful property and checked out a little casino town close by.
We made it in fine with a 26’ travel trailer. The spot was very level and had electricity. Definitely high up in elevation! We loved this spot. My dogs loved running around for a couple days. There is no cell service with Verizon up here, but we were able to keep entertained with all the nature around. We would absolutely stay here again!
My stay at Falconbuff Ranch was well worth the drive to this very scenic spot west of Pikes Peak. The hosts were very relaxed , helpful and friendly and offered a couple of camp spots depending on my preferences. The views were outstanding and the evenings were quiet. If you are in that area you won't find a better place to stay for the night.
As our first boondocking experience, this lovely couple provided the best! They were warm and generous. Words cannot describe the beautiful view. Thank you so much! We would love to go back again.
Beautiful property and lovely hosts. The deer that came to visit were a fun surprise! We would happily stay again and would recommend this location highly.
The hosts are indeed super kind, welcoming, and generous.
You can tell from the numerous reviews listing their place as the best and promising to be back.
We had a great time exploring both on the property and off. It's 18 mins to Paradise Cove, which is pretty empty mid-week.
The drive to Falcon Buff was a little rough in spots due to a washboardy road, but the scenery was beautiful. Our hosts provided us a nice level spot to park as well as electric and water to top off our tank. We had a very peaceful and quiet stay and would be happy to stay there again.
Stunning views, friendly Hosts, abundant wildlife, great level parking spot. Wild but friendly mama and baby deer.
A mountain top retreat. We loved it.
The hosts were amazing! This was the first time we have ever boondocked. The drive to the host house is a beautiful drive. It is a dirt road but we had no problem with our Class C and toad. The pine trees were beautiful and so was the morning guess this morning. My husband was getting water from our car and this doe came up behind him. It let him pet it. When he came in the rv and opened the door for me to see her. She came up to the door. We had a wonderful stay. Would love to come back sometime for another stay.
We live in a cargo converted tony house and this was our first experience with Boondockerswelcome and we couldn’t be happier. The property was gorgeous and our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Additionally, They were was very accommodating, talented and wonderful to converse with while also being respectful to our privacy. We will absolutely return if we’re back around the area.
Being fairly new to full-time rving, I'm still learning my rig and Jeep. Upon turning onto the washboard dirt road I freaked out thinking I had broken an axle. I called Pam and Steven came right out, 4 miles to lend support and led me in to their beautiful property. I was able to feed a wild deer called "Old Lady" by hand grapes and carrots, hike around finding ruins, signs of bear, a deer skeleton and many other interesting finds. Pam and Steven are the perfect hosts! If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely look them up.
We arrived a bit late but was meet by our host with a smile. She showed us where to set up and informed us of amazing hiking trails on her property. After setting up we went for a hike and our son saw the resident deer and her two fawns. It was amazing! We had to cut our visit short, only one night of the two scheduled, due to family obligations but definitely recommend Falconbuff for any much needed nature retreat.
Thank you for hosting us!
we came for a night, stayed two, and made friends for life - two of the kindest, smartest, most generous people you will meet. (and the sweetest dog as well). we shall be back.
We arrived Friday afternoon and knew immediately this was going to be great. The Host
welcomed us to the property. We took a stroll with our 3 small dogs and enjoyed views of mountains in the distance and the lovely trees and trails on the property.
We came back to find biscuits and honey waiting for us. Yum yum.
The next morning we woke to find the Host spending quality time with Bambi.
We visited his wood shop to see some amazing wood work.
We visited a suspected pet burial ground, some old dwellings and more.
Our dogs ran all over off leash. What joy!
We will be back, soon
We really enjoyed our two night stay at Falconbluff. Our hosts were so accommodating and helpful. Their property is so beautiful and quiet. It is off the beaten path and well worth the ride. Hopefully, we can stay again.
What a wonderful first experience with Boondockers! We had a wonderful time. This beautiful property is definitely secluded but we found it more than worth the extra miles! The views were breathtaking and the hosts were so friendly! They truly made our experience over-the-top! We were even treated to a guided hike around the property to see some very cool landmarks. We feel like we made great friends on this trip and hope we can visit again.
We will extend stay until Nov 3rd as we have been dodging the storms.
