Living the North East Kingdom life in the 802 !

Do you know or have you hosted this user?

Just a New England guy living in the North East Kingdom of Vermont.
There is a reason for the name given to this region of Vermont by Gov. George Aiken.
Just up here enjoying the nature and beauty of Vermont.
Live and let live is the way to go. I am curious, open minded, love learning, experiencing new cultures, food and of course people.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

I never have, but want too. I camp in my tent and always been on a campground, state park or friends or woods.
So maybe tenting in the open woods counts as boondocking?

Very easy access. Plenty of room for big units. Glad of the security lights because of the rural location. Be aware of others pulling in this location to check cell service or other reasons. We had someone pull in after 10:00pm and just sat in there car for awhile. We started our unit and turned on the flood lights to let them know someone was around.

Loved Vermont

This was a great stay! Its right by the frontage road so it gets a bunch of cars driving by, but we knew that in advanced so it didn't bother us. We loved paddle boarding at Lake Willoughby which was only a 15 minute drive! We also took a 45 minute drive to Goodrichs Maple Farm and Burts apple orchid to learn the process of tapping trees for syrup and to pick some apples. Great location!

Easy to access for big rig

Very good information from host. A lot of space to park a big rig.

Great place for overnight stay.

September 2020

Easy and convenient

We stayed 3 nights. Perfect spot to explore the NEK. We had a really nice visit with our host and her mom. We felt entirely safe. Easy access. Large open area. Perfect for our needs. We are do grateful! There is road noise but is minimal by 10 pm.

Perfect for us

Easy to find and park. Well keep easy to come and go for activities we like. Did water sport on 3 different lakes in 3 days. Hope he will have us again Thanks.

Good overnight spot

I am grateful to our host for letting us "squat" overnight. The dogs got to stretch their legs and run free in the field behind the buildings.
Good place to "pit stop" and take a breather.

Relaxing stay, plenty of privacy

Carl and his wife are wonderful people we had a fantastic stay. Location is great with plenty of things to do close by and super nice people in the towns surrounding the location.

Good ATT service, reasonable T-mobile (but it switches to roaming) and great Verizon service if that's important.

Would definetly recommend and stay again
