My family and I love the outdoors and spend our summers in the mountains as much as possible. We love ATV riding, hiking, fishing, and hunting. I love my time on the rivers fly fishing. The rest of the year my wife and I are educators.

Beautiful scenery and easy access in Colorado. Thank you for the great hospitality on our first “BoonDocker’s Welcome” experience!
Thank you so much for hosting! I really appreciated how helpful and accommodating you were to me. Perhaps I'll see you on my next trip down this way.
We had a great experience staying at Milner6’s property. We were able to find the location easily with the directions provided. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful with the mountains in the distance. The host was very friendly and communication was easy on the website. This was our first Boondockers Welcome stay and it was great!
This is our second time staying at this location.
They are wonderful folks and such a great location. We had a great visit while setting up. They had kittens this time!
This location is also close to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. You have to rent the sand boards at the store outside the park. They no longer rent them at the visitor center.
We hope on our continued travels we can stay here again.
Milner6 is a very gracious host and I like the free format of "Park/Setup wherever you like". Had a great time visiting local attractions and despite the chilly night really throughly enjoyed my time. They are welcome at my CdV on the Hill anytime...
Nice flat land with kind hosts and super cute kittens! Really enjoyed our stay.
We had such a comfortable stay with these hosts. We stayed for 2 nights and spent a full day at the sand dunes. Our hosts were there to welcome us when we came in and were friendly and helpful. There were tons of parking options and we found a level spot for our 38’ motor home. They were especially gracious allowing our kids to give all the love to their animals. We would be happy to return!
Our hosts were very friendly and accomodating! They are a lovely family, especially their daughter! The location is perfect for an overnight stop on the way to Antonito for the Cumbres and Toltec train ride. It is a very quiet and private location. The kittens were really friendly, too! Thanks so much!
Our arrival instructions were exact and we knew exactly where to go to get set up. This is an amazing Place, very beautiful! Even better are the hosts. Very engaging. Enjoyed our time with them. People like this make Boondockers Welcome very special. If our future travels take us through this part of Texas we will certainly look forward to visiting again. Thank you so much for hosting us and for the time spent visiting.
It’s nice to have a fellow rv’er allow travelers to cool their wheels on their property!
Very relaxing,quiet and private!
More people should get on board with boondockers there’s so much potential across our country.
Thank you Bradley and your family for making us feel so welcome!
Our first boondockers experience.
Our hosts were out front to welcome us with a smile when we pulled in. We were given an overview of the property and welcomed to pick a spot that worked best for us. It was very easy to find a level spot. After we settled in, the host family came by to see if we needed anything and we chatted for a while comparing notes on the RV life and different places on the bucket list. They suggested a nice State Park along our route, which we took their advice and stopped over for a great afternoon at the lake. We didn’t get a chance to take full advantage of the view, as the smoke from the Grand Junction fire obscured our view, but I can imagine how the mountain would normally would have added to the ambiance. Our dog really enjoyed being able to run around in the great big meadow and get her exercise. Thank you for a restful night’s sleep in a wonderful setting. We hope to stop in again in the future and maybe explore the area a little more. Be well.
We stayed three nights, and the host went through the trouble to adjust his profile from two available spots to three to accommodate us. This was a wonderful stay… very quiet, flat, awesome views of mountains on all sides, and the host and his family were extremely friendly. We had a long technical conversation with the host about solar and lithium batteries, comparing our systems. We also appreciated the advice from the host regarding local Public Land boondocking areas. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We arrived Mid Friday Afternoon and greeted by the wife and the daughter of the host. Both are very warm, welcoming and friendly people. We were basically given free reign to choose a spot from the massive field. We picked a spot a few hundred yards away and set up. The host and the family came by afterwards to check on us and to offer assistance if we need anything. We enjoyed beautiful sunrise and sunset from mountain views. We were left to ourselves until we left as the host came to see us off. Great folks indeed. A very enjoyable weekend we would repeat.
We had a quiet and peaceful stay with time to rest up from our traveling. We had a friendly visit with our hosts and are thankful for their generosity in providing so much space for multiple travelers. We would be happy to stay there again in the future.
Plenty of space to park for the night. Easily accessible from town but far enough out that you’re not on a highway. Caught a beautiful sunset and sunrise the next day before moving on. Would definitely stay again. Thank you so much!
The Host has a central location to explore the San Luis Valley and the Great Sand Dunes.
It is always great to meet people during travels and our Host took time to sit and chat. Very enjoyable.
Colorado PBS has a documentary about the town of San Luis and the valley. Don’t miss the oldest continuously operating business in Colorado or the oldest church.
They tip about an RV dump at the Cenex in Monte Vista worked well.
Thank you for a great stay.
Great views across the high mtn desert to the surrounding mountains. The weather was cool even in late July. The pups loved running free and visiting the ponds and I loved viewing the avocets. If you are in the area be sure to make this a stop.
We very much enjoyed our stay with the Milners....they were available for great conversation or would let us be if that’s what we wanted. We will definitely stay again when in area.
Our hosts were available to greet us and spent time with us with great conversation. They were gracious in giving us water when our tanks ran low. This was a delightful stay at A beautiful bountiful property close to the sand dunes.
The Hosts are friendly and wonderful. The site is very roomy and even provides protection if the winds are high. Peaceful, quiet and a beautiful view of the mountains. We certainly hope to stay there again.
Our first Boondocks overnight! Enjoyed meeting the hosts & their daughter and hearing more about the area. Would highly recommend this stop when/if you are venturing thru SoCo.
Our hosts were gracious & accomodating throughout our stay. The expansive property has magnificent views from the floor of the San Luis Valley to the snow capped peaks of the surrounding Rocky Mts. Even though you're just minutes from Alamosa, it feels very remote.
Mountains surround with gorgeous sunrise and sunset. Hosts were extremely gracious, even messaging us a heads up in real time. So grateful for the stopover. See you on the road!
Host greeted us upon arrival, very accommodating, numerous parking choices. Easy in, easy out in our 36' motorhome.
We had a great stay in Alamosa. Easy in, level place to park and they filled out fresh water tank! We set up with great views of the mountains but within the hour a dust storm with strong winds blew in, rocking our trailer a bit. We decided to move out trailer between two shipping containers they have on the property. This worked great to reduce the amount of wind! During our 4 night stay we were able to explore with a road trip to Pagosa Springs, checking out the wildlife refuge in Alamosa and Monte Vista, visiting local breweries and hiking to Zapata Falls! Great Boondocking spot and great people!
Thanks for the overnight stay! See you again next time through.
I had a great two day stay ! Next time we will look for the pond!
The location was very convenient and private. Hosts have a large acreage and access is easy, even with my Class A with toad. Really friendly hosts are avid campers themselves and are very helpful. The views of the mountain ranges are spectacular and offer some great scenery both in the morning at at sunset. I especially appreciated the communication and directions, very clear and made it easy to find and set up.
We had a great time staying at this Boondocking location in Amalosa Colorado. Hosts were great and were willing to help us in anyway we needed. This is a very private setting, quiet but still close to everything. I highly recommend this host and location.
This was our 1st Boondockers Welcome stay and it was perfect! The hosts made it so easy. The land was level and the Mountain View’s were amazing. It couldn’t have been better for our 1st time in Colorado. Thank you so much For hosting us😊
They have a great place overlooking the mountains.
They let us fill up with water and use the 110 electric plug.
They parked us between their 40 foot storage containers to block the wind and cold. What a difference.
We talked about the current situation facing all of us and future plans.
What a great family. We hope to stop there again on our way back.
We had a nice peaceful night at Mountain Valley Views. They offered us not only a great place, but good conversation and a great National Forest boon-docking location that we checked out the following night. Many thanks and may stop again if in the area.
-Growing no moss-
Our hosts were awesome and we loved visiting with them. Their place was so quiet and peaceful, beautiful view. We hope to see them at our place someday!
We had a great one-night stay! We arrived late which wasn’t a problem - they actually stayed up to welcome us! We communicated via text on arrival day which helped with getting good directions to the property. Easy, flat access & a perfect spot to stay when visiting the Alligator farm or Great Sand Dunes. Thank you for opening your space to us!
