We are a retired couple living on 15 acres in the Driftless region of Wisconsin about 2 miles from the Great River Road that runs along the Mississippi River. We travel throughout the year, mainly late winter and fall, in a 18' travel trailer with Rueben, our 9 year old labradoodle.

Skills & Expertise to Share

Our home is powered by a 5.6kw, grid tied, solar system which includes a wall mounted battery backup. We would be happy to share our experience with its installation and results. Our hobbies include hunting, fishing and spoon carving for Phil, and knitting, handspinning and weaving for Anita. We also maintain 30 raised beds in our garden for some perennial, as well as annual, fruit and vegetables. Our orchard consists of mainly apple trees along with a few pare, cherry, and peach.

Driftless's Pets

We share our life with Rueben, a 9 year old Labradoodle. She is a country dog who loves to travel and hike. She is a good traveler and camper, and mostly well behaved on leash. However, squirrels, rabbits, and cats always demand her attention!

Driftless's Hometown

Our mailing address is De Soto, WI, but we live just up the bluff from the tiny burg of Victory. We are located about 30 miles south of La Crosse, WI.

Peaceful and Serene

My wife and I enjoyed staying one night on this beautiful secluded site. We had a nice campfire with wood supplied by the host. Our host met us at the campsite and was very pleasant to chat with.
