Moving from tent camping to RV camping!

Do you know or have you hosted this user?

I'm a 4th grade teacher. My husband is in the age bracket above mine. :) He does air quality testing. We both love the outdoors and met 7 years ago in a cross-country skiing class. We are excited to extend our camping season via purchase of our first travel trailer, and are discovering we have a lot to learn! We enjoy meeting new people but are content doing our own thing as well. Traveling and being outside together makes us happy.

Skills & Expertise to Share

I love to cook! I have to eat strictly gluten free (celiac disease).

summerperk's Pets

Two boy kitties--I adore them but they stay home with a cat sitter when we travel. My husband tolerates them for my sake.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

We love Central Oregon and Yellowstone National Park. We also love the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula and have enjoyed everywhere we have been in Canada.

summerperk's Hometown

Portland, Oregon for me. My husband lives in Washougal, Washington. He has an adult daughter. We currently maintain separate households due to work commutes and look forward to getting a home together in 5 years when we retire. Until then, we make the most of our weekends together and appreciate any longer time periods we can manage.

Intelligent and engaging. Absolutely loved chatting with them.

Very nice

They enjoyed their stay and left no trace the kind of campers I like.

Nice couple having fun traveling.

Fun couple enjoying the RV lifestyle. So quiet didn't know they were on the property. They missed the ripe cherries and unripe figs but hopefully enjoyed the Mayberries.
