We have an airbnb service and enjoy meeting fellow travelers. Our recent moving of Dave's mom to a Residential Care Home in Parksville means that we are frequent visitors to Parksville and beyond. Fran likes reading, practicing piano at a beginner level and making stuff with her organic fabrics and yarns. Dave has interests in cycling, vintage bicycles, cars/trucks, music and books. Avid 'hypermilers', we like camping and road travel.
We're both good troubleshooters, Dave's kind of handy.
We haven't boondocked much, a quiet country road.
Have met some good folks :)
Comox BC. We're originally from Winnipeg.
1992 19' Roadtrek Versatile 190 class B (camper van) in good condition. Sorry, this is our old rig which we are preparing for sale. We grew out of it and moved on to a 2001 3E Embassy 28 feet no pullouts. We will have a picture up soon.
The nice thing about Boondockers Welcome is at our age it is so hard to meet new friends and with every stay we share there seems to be new friends found!
Although we've stayed with 'fellow boondockers' across the provinces and some northern states, Frances and David were the first we've had the opportunity to host!
We enjoyed their easy going, relaxed personalities and interesting conversation. Would recommend them as guests to others.
Quick and easy access off 19a, convenient location. Did not have to do any leveling, water and electricity offered and in easy reach.
Dave and Fran are kind, generous and friendly people. We enjoyed chatting with them, with the right balance of friendly/privacy.
We enjoyed their gracious hospitality, thanks again!
