We only had a short time to visit because they came to explore the area. They were great with communicating their plans. After stopping in to check out the parking area, they left to hike a short trail a few miles away, then spent the rest of the day enjoying the water and picnic area at the end of our road. After coffee the next day, Bigboulder and their truck camper were on their way.
Great hosts, very friendly and informative of sites to see and do. Many scenic views and events this time of year. Thank you so very much.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The site is easy to get into, the area we parked in is level, and we are surrounded by trees. We did several days of exploring the area, and this location is close to everything-beautiful lakes, terrific trails, interesting towns, etc. Communication with the hosts was great: the directions of how to get here were clear, and they quickly responded to questions. They were kind enough to mark the location where they wanted us to park when they weren’t here when we arrived. We highly recommend Bencze’s Boondocking/BigBoulder.
Nice spot for the night. Easy to make arrangements and even had the option for a fire.
I made a last-minute change in plans because of flooding in my original route. I was excited to head to the Adirondacks but then realized that since it was Labor Day weekend, all the dispersed sites were full. I messaged "Bigboulder" and they wrote right back and let me stay. They came to meet me and gave me tips on the area and said I could stay for a few days if I liked. I stayed for two nights. Very close to Raquette River Brewing which was also a treat. Great spot and flat too!
Location is great & hosts are friendly and eager to accommodate! Wish the weather had been better I think we would have stayed longer to enjoy the lake. Brewery super convenient to hangout at & the pizza was Amazing!
My host was very friendly and offered great ideas for local places - even a bike repair guy! Tupper Lake is a cute little town with tons to offer. Really enjoyed my stay
Location established prior to arrival. Host promptly greeted us. Had to leave early but host gracious. Recommend site and host.
Very few boondocking options in the Adirondacks so this location is deeply appreciated. Due to a dead battery we needed to stay longer and the hosts were accommodating.
Nice quiet location in the quaint town of Tupper Lake. Hosts came down to great us, and told us about local stuff available. Would love to stay here again!
