CKHolders were delightful guests. We enjoyed their company, conversations, and their generous assistance. Quiet and respectful, enjoyable folks.
DUKE I and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely couples home. They were so kind to allow us to come stay even though they get bombarded with guests asking to come by. And I can see why. It’s a beautiful spot they have there for your RV. It’s next to a beautiful lake and close to everything you want to see while visiting. We are so thankful to have met them. DUKE loved playing in the field and with their family. We only hope we can see them again soon if we are in the area. A must stay, if they continue to host. Haha Thanks again!
We had a lovely stay at Missing U Acres! The spot is tucked under the trees with 50 amp electric, water with a long hose to fill your onboard tank and a wonderful view of Barr Lake State Park. We will definitely try and swing back this way for a future visit!
Location close to highways and small shopping center. Good out of the way place
I very much enjoyed my stay here. The views of the Lake are beautiful!
Also the shaded gravel "campsite" is level & semi private.
The Hosts are both very gracious & friendly.
I had planned on visiting the Colorado State Capital Building,
but this plan was canceled by the protestors all around that beautiful building.
So, I visited the wonderful Denver City Park where I hiked around both lakes &
the many interesting monuments.
The next day I took a nice "day-trip" to Estes Park where I enjoyed the natural beauty of the surrounding Mountains, walked the main downtown area & visited the Visitors Center area where I enjoyed for my 1st time seeing a mother Elk & her young Calf.
Yes! I definitely recommend this location & would return again, if invited.
My sincerest Thank you to the cksholders!
The place is a great location to spend while visiting the Denver area. Their location was only 9 1/2 miles from our kids home. Had two of our grandkids spend the night while on the property. In the morning we went for a long walk on a bike path. Beautiful setting. Be advised, there is a Burlington Northern Santa Fe BNSF railroad line not far from the home and RV site. Didn’t bother us when the train went by at night, but it might bother someone else. Especially if they weren’t aware. This site also has electricity and sewer hook up. The hosts are very low-key and give you your space. Would definitely stay again.
This location was perfect. Super close to the interstate. And very easy in and out. Right om barr lake. We were greeted upon arrival and offered use of their 50 amp plug. We didnt ge to interact to much with our hosts but they seemed like very nice people and even allowed us to extend our stay by a night at the last minute.
We were very close to denver and the surrounding national parks. And spent most our time put exploring. We would love to stay again when we come through Colorado again.
This was such a great spot for us for two nights in Denver! We were about 30 minutes or less from where we were exploring and the spot was easy and safe to get to even with snowy weather. It was quiet at night and the spot felt level for our van. Thank you so much for offering your property to us!
The Sholders were great. Had a heart attack while there and ended up in the hospital. Let us stay extra days and were very gracious.
I got to Missing U Acres at 7:30, in the dark. My host came out & showed me where I could put up for the night. It was a really nice spot not far from & overlooking the lake behind their house. And the bonus was that it was Hunters Moon that night which reflected off of the lake.
Stayed here overnight so we could leave our fifth wheel when we went to pick up our daughter at the Denver airport the next day. Location is a rural setting next to a state park but close to the highway. Scenic and quiet except for the railroad crossing nearby. Hosts have plenty of room to accommodate big rigs.
Awesome stay, these folks are very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful spot.
Needed a place to rest and this was the perfect spot. Great hosts!
The parking spot was quite and the view of the lake was wonderful.
The hosts were very nice and accommodating. Hooked up to water though I would recommend it for non-potable uses only. The view of the lake was nice. Very quiet area. The warnings about the train tracks are very real. Go slow over them! We had a needed front end alignment done after we left which I'm sure would have helped us crossing them had we done it before our stay, but they're still pretty rough. We'd stay here again in the future. Thank you!
We could not have asked for a better overnight stop on a long journey to the west coast. A gravel road led right to a perfect shaded spot in back of the house. A full 50 amp box is located right next to the parking pad but we did not have an adapter for our 30 amp class B Winnebago. No problem though. There is a great bike trail around a small lake next to the property if you have time to ride.
The hosts were great and very friendly. Their location in Brighton CO is very near the E470 bypass if you want to avoid Denver traffic. When we awoke the next morning, a small fox was sitting there staring at our van. Highly recommend!
Great location in the Denver area. Hosts are attentive. Site is great for larger rigs.
It is a beautiful location with 50 AMP hookup and the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was my first Boondockers Welcome stay and was a perfect experience. Thank you so much!!!
You go over some rad railroad tracks getting there so take it slow. Bumpy dirt road to get to camp area. Back in gravel spot under a tree. 50 amp service right there. Hose is far away but they ran a long hose so I could have water (giant thank you!)
Me and my dog slept like a baby.
This was a perfect place to setup to surprise the kids when they arrived in Denver. Super nice setup
