If you've stayed at my place before there's a good chance I'd let you stay again even though I will not be home. So if you have been here before go ahead and give me a 'shout'.
I'm retired and share a drive with another retired family. Their house is located nearby.
I have a 'fire-ring'. So weather and all circumstances are right. We can usually have a 'campfire'. It is located a short walk from where your RV is parked. No campfire smoke gets to the RV.
I worked in product support for 35 years for a major farm equipment company. So I've got a mechanical mind and background which come in handy in the RV world.
I don't have any pets.
I suppose I would say Quartzsite, AZ would be my favorite.
I've got 7 acres and some hobbies so I stay busy right here at home.
40 ft Forest River - Berkshire with 4 slide-outs. Sometimes I pull my 20 foot aluminum trailer carrying a car and other times I tow my pickup, all 4 wheels on the ground.
No one named Samson lives here.
So why is it named Samson Acres?
The answer is a good conversation starter with the Host.
Very nice, quiet parking with power available. The Host is a pleasant person and enjoys conversations.
Thanks for letting us stay.
We are very grateful to have stayed at our host E’s place last evening. He has some beautiful acreage overlooking the hills of west Wisconsin in a quiet area, and a level driveway easy to access not too far off the highway for our truck camper. We also needed to change the oil in our truck and he allowed us to do so (and even chatted with my husband for quite awhile learning a few things). Thank you for the stay, we greatly enjoyed it!
We’ve had another great BW stay. Our Host was there to welcome us as we pulled in the drive.
We enjoyed our social time until it was time for dinner and the approaching wind/rain storm. We made arrangements to go to breakfast together and enjoyed even more social time.
We hope to meet again.
Was a great place to stay. Will be back and stay again.
Gorgeous 7acres. Wonderful hosts. Very friendly, helped us park. Had a short chat. Had 30 amp, water, and WiFi. Most generous and friendly. Had a really nice conversation before we left on Sunday. Bought some Wisconsin cheese, 😋. Will definitely stay here with our new friend when our adventures bring us to Wisconsin in the future.
An affable host plus a lovely setting with great views make this a perfect spot for a night or longer.
We stopped here for one night on our way out West and we wished we had more time to stay! Our host was very helpful, very nice and we had a great chat around the fire. It was a beautiful location, easy to find and very quiet. This was our kids' favorite location to stay in our whole 3 weeks of travel! Thanks again!!
I've only been on the road for five days, and arrived at Samson Acres tired, at dusk, after a long day of navigating construction on the way from Chicago. My host was so friendly and welcoming, and when I was daunted at having to back and reposition my RV, offered to do it for me, which I gratefully accepted. He clearly delights in meeting the people who pull into his drive and hearing their stories. I highly recommend him as a host!
We felt well cared for on Samson Acres . Our host waited for us even though we were delayed by traffic, was quick to reply to messages and generous in providing hydro and water. We were invited to join him at his campfire, and conversation was pleasant and comfortable.
This was a wonderful first boondocking experience for our family.
My wife and I stopped here on our way through Wisconsin and I have to say it turned out to be an unexpected gem along our road trip. We stayed several nights on the property and made our way to local cheese joints, visited the Amish, and met with other friends who took us to Devil's Lake, which are all very close to the property.
The host here was great. He was exactly "our type of guy". Not intrusive but sociable. He took the time to get to know us and we him and now we have a real friend! We still keep in touch via email because we had a lot in common and shared a really great night around his fire pit cooking and chatting.
The property was clean, level, had water and wifi. The views were great and no real traffic. The area had some nice hiking and my wife enjoyed jogging and cycling along the road. The "neighbors" are also great. We met a farmer who invited us to come see a new born calf if we wanted.
All in all, this is the best stop we've found on boondockers welcome. If you're in his neighborhood, I suggest you give Samson Acres a shout out. Instead of a "stop", it was a great experience. Thanks again for the great times!
We stayed with 'Samson Acres' for one night, but wish our schedule allowed for us to have stayed longer. 'Samson Acres' was incredibly welcoming and friendly. From our first email correspondece ... to receiving an email with directions, an invitation to enjoy a bonfire in their backyard ... the experience couldn't have been better. We really enjoyed our time, especially sitting with them, eating smores and getting to know them.
As an added perk ... The parking site was amazingly beautiful. This is an understatement ... the view from our rig was just stunning while parked at their home.
Thank you for a wonderful stay ... we'd love to come back sometime in the future!!
We had a delightful afternoon visiting with our host and daughter. The facilities were perfect for us. This is a beautiful, peaceful location with wonderful views - our only disappointment was not seeing any deer while there.
The parking site was level and easy to back into. Our host was most helpful making sure we were comfortable.
Our main reason for visiting the area was to bicycle on the Elroy Sparta Trail which was close by.
Another wonderful stay with Boondockers Welcome.
