Do you know or have you hosted this user?

Adventurous semi-active older gal who is eager to drive around exploring the US. I own a couple small businesses with the help of remote staff, both related to teaching graphic design software. Blessed with one grown daughter and a wonderful son-in-law and a cutiepie grandson. I'm used to traveling on my own and eager to learn how to take care of life on the road with an RV.

Skills & Expertise to Share

I know about computers and graphic design software, and how to play pinochle. ;-)

Amarie's Pets

Yes I have two dogs, both adopted at the same time from the same shelter in 2014. One is a 15-pound terrier mix named Barkley, the other a 40-pound hound/beagle mix named Bella. They get along wonderfully but are shy around other dogs. They are both up to date on shots, licensed, and will be on leashes at all times outside of the RV. I'm currently doing a series of private dog training sessions with them to reduce their stress around other dogs and act better on the leash (not so much pulling).

They are both accustomed to long drives and sleeping in other people's homes, are fine with doggy day cares too. So I'm optimistic that the RV trips will be fine.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

Never have boondocked before.

Amarie's Hometown

I'm from Chicago, born and raised. Oldest of 7 kids and both parents and all siblings still live in/near here. I have a small home on the northwest side of the city.
