After 12 years of use for short vacations, my Roadtrek camper van is ready to try some much longer trips. I'll be touring as much as I can for awhile and hope to keep the expenses reasonable. Will stay at National Parks, State Parks and other public lands often, but may want to contact a Boondocker's Welcome member on occasion. I've done the hosting myself when I lived in FL and always enjoyed the experience.
Fully self-contained camper van with no pets. Senior citizen, though I hate to admit it!
Up until recently I had only tried an occasional WalMart; but this year I have started full-timing (well, sort of) and I've experimented with many more options. While touring Texas I stayed on beaches, at roadside rest area's, visitor centers, Harvest Hosts members and Boondocker's Welcome! Texas really welcomes the RV world!
I own a home in Tulsa, OK where my daughter lives and I "visit". Unfortunately, it is not available for boondocking.
I drive an older model Roadtrek (19 ft.) in good condition. Self-contained with generator.
We spent a night in Debbie's deluxe driveway (hooked up to her electricity and used her patio table)! It was very quiet despite being only a block from an incredible beach. Debbie was very welcoming and generous with her time and space! We highly recommend this boondocking pleasure! Hope you can come to Montreal, Debbie!
I wrote an email to Debbie and as luck would have it...she read it and called me within 10 minutes!! I was actually looking for a place to dock that night.
Debbie was very accommodating....has a tight place to pull/back into...but it is lovely if you can. Debbie hooked me up with electricity and was very kind and generous with other things as well. She lives a block from the beach...she gave me local information and we went to an area state park.
I so appreciated Debbie's kindness.
