Currently I live and work in New Zealand but later this year my husband and I are going to embark on a 2 year (money permitting!!) odyssey - in the States for 1 year and Europe for another year. We are going to do it all by motorhome (a form or travel that we have tried in the past and really enjoy).
Our home in New Zealand is semi-rural with 2 donkeys and a collection of vintage cars and motorbikes. These will all be left in the hands of some very capable friends whilst we are away. I work for Fonterra as an accountant which is a manufacturer and exporter of dairy products and my husband is a retired electrical engineer.
We have now arrived in the USA and have got ourselves a rig - 24ft Majestic - ex Cruise America. Have only had it for a week (11 Feb today) so are still ironing out all its idiosyncrisies and getting it setup for a life on the road for a year. So far have spent some time in the Anza-Borrego desert and now in Slab City waiting to get some solar panels fitted.

I love to cook and garden and have great computer skills. Also love DIY projects like painting, tiling etc.
My husband Bob is great with anything electrical and mechanical.
Yet to try out any
Majestic 23A, 2008 - no slideouts, just an awning.
It was a pleasure meeting and getting to know the Haytons. We learned a little bit about New Zealand and they even had a little parting gift for our girls. We highly recommend them if they send you an overnight request! It will be a pleasure to host them again next time they pass through.
Jillian and Bob spent 2 nights with us. They have traveled and camped all over the world. This is their first time touring the US and Canada. Hearing about their experiences and impressions was wonderful.
Jillian and her husband Bob just finished two nights with us. What a delightful couple! If they ask to visit you, do yourself a favor and invite them to come. You won't be sorry!
Jillian and her husband spent a night in my location. What interesting folks. Motorhoming around the US for a year! What an adventure.
