We are seasoned RV travelers, love exploring new areas. Typically we park somewhere and explore all day on our motorcycles, then home for diner, and early to bed. We make no noise, rarely put out the awning.
Our rig is a 35 foot Winnebago, and we tow our enclosed bike trailer or our Honda CRV. The bikes are: mine Yamaha FJR and Mariannes is a Honda Shadow.
We just bought a tent and may do some over nite tent trips, and leave the motorhome in a safe place while we are gone on the bikes.
We especially like the national park areas, have been through the Utah, Colorado area. Newfoundland last year. This year southern BC and Washington state.
I teach engineering at community college and Marianne is a letter carrier.
I used to know lots, but have recently discovered humility....lol
Every where we go has its charms. Except Houston Walmart's. Too noisy.....
Our motorhome is 35 feet long diesel. We typically have a motorcycle trailer, which we prefer to leave attached if we can, but every situation is different.
Had a fun chat about ejector seats, jet engines in small cars, and solar. Can't wait to see what my kids start dreaming up.
We had the pleasure to stay with Professor & Marianne last week for a couple of nights. This was our 1st boondock through the website and it was a great experience. They responded to us right away on short notice and offered driveway space. We were visiting our daughter in Kitchener which was only 10 km away which was so perfect. Our busy day didn't allow us much time to spend with our hosts but were invited for coffee and and good chat before we left. He was a great resource for RV maintenance as he knows alot about electrical and other structural aspects of both Class A and trailers. All in all, a great first boondock for us. Thanks Professor and Marianne.
Although they were away traveling; gave permission to stay overnight May 19th. On a county road bur felt 'safe'; has 'good vibes' I got a good solid 8-9 hours sleep. Thank you for the coutesy.
We stayed one night at Jim and Marianne's during Octoberbest in nearby Waterloo. Jim provided us with a map and was helpful with parade route etc. Both of them popped in for a visit the brief time we were there. We were thankful to be parked outside of Waterloo. Great location!!
I was able to find this location with no problems, with the information that Jim had given me, that was a great help. Jim was able to advise me about what was wrong with my electrical system, that I will follow up on and have it taken care of. Easy place to park and a great location for me as I was looking for a very old friend, and I found him after 52 years.
Thank you Marianne and Jim.
We stayed overnight on our way to a campsite. This member was quick to reply. He provided directions and had a spot reserved for us.
