My wife Shelley keeps herself busy through being a Rotarian and volunteering with a number of other organizations. Myself, I am now retired but will be working on the "Honey Do" list for the near future. Our kids are out on their own so there is just the two of us around here. We like to go camping, quading, jet boating and relaxing in the local area during the summer months. In a previous life I was a Navy Communications Technician but retired from that in 1998 which resulted in our move to Alberta.
Good with computers and electronics, licensed ham radio operator (VE6DDD). Can do some mechanical repairs and have a good selection of tools in the garage.
Any place warm in the winter. The local areas known as the "West Country" provide summer time boondocking, ATV'ing and all sorts of outdoor adventures within 1/2 hour of home. Travelled the Baja in January 2014 and loved it. We enjoyed trips to the Yukon in 2015 and 2016 jetboating from Whitehorse to Dawson City. (boat boondocking??)
2012 Cyclone 3800 5th wheel toy hauler, 2009 Duramax dually with Western Hauler deck.
These hosts were very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them. We learned so much from them about the current situation in Alberta. They recommended that we see Lacombe and we spent a delightful day there. These hosts have led very interesting lives and we were delighted to have them share some of their experiences with us.
We enjoyed a beautiful location, quiet stay and nice company around the fire pit with "Joe the Dog"--oh yea, and Darcy and Sherri :-) This was our first stay through Boondockers Welcome and they made us feel very welcome. Thanks!
joedog has such a great spot we had to come back! This time we were treated to great photos of their recent trip and some good stories too!
Sorry we missed you S. All being well...2015?
joedog provided a lovely, level and grassy site for our one night stay. We really enjoyed meeting this friendly, fun couple and swapping travel stories. Would definitely stay here again.
