2013-14 we spent a year on the road, it was the trip of a lifetime, though we hope to do lots more. Some of our best times were when we stayed with Boondockers! I tallied up how many nights over the course of the year that we were hosted and it came to 56 nights! Retiring soon so we are hoping for more time on the road.
Thayer can fix virtually anything, on a vehicle, bicycle or computer. I can make cookies and pick raspberries in the summer.
No pets at this time.
We've stayed in some interesting places, parking lots of National Park hotels, random neighborhoods in small towns, national and state forests, Walmart.... A very favorite spot was off of the Burr Road in Southern Utah, surrounded by towering cliffs of sandstone and prime redrock desert. Favorites from our year on the road include many places on the Great Lakes, Maritime Canada and New Mexico. Check out our blog/book at jill.readmyblog.org to see some of our favorites.
Bothell, Washington, a quiet but growing suburb of Seattle. Located about 15 miles north of the big city.
2003 VW Rialta, 21+ ft, small but it has everything we need! We don't have a lot of clearance!
We enjoyed meeting this couple and having them stay with us. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well so really didn't get to spend too much time with them. They were great boondockers, quiet and respectful of our property. They are welcome back any time.
Fun visit with Jill and Thayer! Swapped some funny stories around the campfire. They were awesome guests, very pleasant and respectful. Hope they can get back this way someday. They're welcome anytime! My grandchildren were sad to see them leave.
We really enjoyed Jill and Thayer's visit. Very interesting and fun people. Hopefully will someday cross paths again.
Jill and Thayer are excellent, unimposing guests. We enjoyed exchanging travel stories with them and look forward to crossing paths in the future. Safe Journeys Jill and Thayer.

Thanks for letting me stay!
Jill and Thayer where awesome hosts that took us in and helped us plan our trip!
Fully recommend staying with them!
Jill and Thayer were great! They were so kind and generous - they stayed up late to greet us as we came in at nearly 10 p.m. at night. They helped us to level our RV and even offered electrical hookup as well as invited us in. We will definitely go back again.
We had such a nice stay and the hosts made us feel really welcome. They had wonderful suggestions about how to make the most of our stay. You park close to the street, but it is not heavily traveled. We slept great!
We appreciate the warm hospitality, friendly conversation and convenient location. Thank you for making our first BW experience so pleasant! Happy Trails!
Such a nice couple helping us get set up with enough leveling blocks and providing water and electric. We enjoyed a dinner and sharing our blogs with each other. They allowed us to leave our trailer there while visiting my brother in Seattle, which was a huge help. Would definitely recommend a stay here!
We really enjoyed staying here. We even walked over to some shopping Malls and restaurants. We also had some nice conversations on many subjects.
Very nice folks with big hearts. We has dinner and talked for hours. If you stay with them you will have a good time.
Jill and Thayer are fantastic hosts -- so friendly and hospitable. They welcomed us with open arms and even taught our one-year-old to walk :) Definitely look Jill and Thayer up if you're in the Seattle area!
We met these folks at another Boondockers host site we were staying at. We thoroughly enjoyed spending an afternoon visiting with them.
