We love exploring Canada, meeting the people and writing our stories but we are on a small budget. In 2003 we dared to leave Powell River, BC with $300 in hand in an old motorhome loaded with stuff to sell to pay for the trip to the east coast. It was so successful I wrote my first "RV Canada travel book/ RV Canada on A Dime And A Dream." Seven 3-4 month trips around Canad and six RV Canadad books have resulted, hundreds of new friends and memories to last a lifetime. My latest "RV Canada A Year of Anniversaries/Western Canada off The Beaten Path" was launched June 2018.
I am a Métis travel writer, photographer and speaker. Dave makes glass jewelry and keeps the rig on the road.
With our 6 pound dog Pali, and his Chihuahua buddy Cheena we live life to the full making our dreams come true. "Strangers are only friends you haven't met before."
PS: We don't smoke, nor do drugs and drink in moderation.
I write and speak so if we are where you are and you want a travel show or inspirational speech done, I can do it. I travel with a projector, and computer. I also make a scrumptious batch of Métis bannock! I can show you how to make banana boats in the campfire or barbeque. Dave can make something out of most anything. He is handy with a hammer and saw. He makes beautiful fused glass jewelry and travels with his kiln plus he makes mean Margaritas!!
Pali, the camp ambassador is a 6 pound ball of friendliness with his buddy Cheena the chihuahua. They love traveling and meeting new friends.
Newfoundland especially Cape Norman at the very top of the west coast. Prescott, ON down by the water.
Muskokas in ON. All of Cape Breton and PEI. Oh heck...anywhere in Canada where there is water!!
Powell River, BC
We drive a 25 ft C-Class with solar panel, completely self-contained, no tow vehicle.
A wonderful couple who are living the dream of seeing Canada from coat to coast on a dime. There story is one of freedom, of being seniors and traveling frugally from one town to another at their speed and enjoyment. They are welcome to camp here anytime they are in the area so that I may enjoy their stories.
