Just retired last summer and spent a few months on the east coast visiting relatives. Now back in Michigan visiting relatives again. We use AIRBNB and a few different online accommodation places as we love to check places out. My wife and I are trying to travel for a couple years to see the USA that we have never had a chance to see.
Am a certified Clinical (biomedical) engineer for a hospital system. So basically any medical equipment. - But also have been a Ham Radio hobbyist and computer hobbyist since computers were invented (have degrees in electronics and electrical engineering). Wife is a Human Resources expert who knows how to navigate that side of business.
Charleston SC is a favorite place if we can find a place to stay.
We full time live in an RV. But we lived in Charleston, SC for about five years. She is from Southern Michigan (Sturgis), while I am from back east in Connecticut (East Lyme & Waterford)
Toyota Tundra truck used to pull the RV trailer. Trailer is Lance Model1985, Year 2013 which is supposedly one of the top ten trailers to own.
These nice folks were just passing through, but were friendly and interesting. They are welcome anytime.
Super couple who seems to boondock the way we do. Plan a lot then deal with what comes along. (Which is part of the fun for us.) would truly love to see them again, until that day safe travels to you. We would host again in a heartbeat.
Very quiet. He was not feeling well when they arrived. After a short welcome, they hooked up, disappeared inside their camper and we did not see them again. They are welcome back any time. Hope they are both feeling well next time.
What can I say? It was a short visit but we did get a chance to talk and visit. And she had a chance to catch up with a friend who was close by. We had a chance to look at each others rigs - mainly selfishly on our part - to get ideas for changes/upgrades. Hopefully there can be a longer visit in the future. Otherwise, quiet and respectful company.
They are very quiet & considerate people. Saw little of them. They kept their spot spotless and were respectful:-)
