It's was great meeting WanderingPulse. An excellent visitor and wonderful pets. Hope to assist in his travels again.
Good communications, left no trace of visit and very respectful of property. Welcomed back anytime.
Nice man with dog. Easy to host. Was on a mission. Arrived late, left early. Welcome anytime.
WanderingPulse was just passing thru on their way to family and we were about half way. It was a short visit, but very pleasant. We had chances to converse and visit. Their dog and our bassets had a good time visiting also. Unfortunately, as I said, it was a very short visit as it would have been nice to get to know them better. Hopefully they will pass thru again as they are very welcome to return. And in a year or so we do hope to level out the parking area better. No guarantees on the apple trees other than if you come back during season, they make great pies and apple sauce
Had a chance to meet and chat with WanderingPulse during his stay, and he is a great conversationalist with an interesting story behind his travels. His rig is clean and tidy, and we barely knew he was there. He left the spot clean and with no trace of him being there. Highly recommended and welcome to come back anytime!
It's always nice to meet another nurse.
He and his furry travel mates were such a joy to meet !
Always welcome at my place if he should ever be in the area again.
Truly one of the best Boondockers stay we’ve ever had. We didn’t get the pleasure of meeting Jonathan, but he was extremely helpful nonetheless. Gave excellent instructions on where to park and how to hook up. This was just such a lovely stay. Very quaint peaceful area. We just wanted to stay there forever! The Kohler-Andrae State Park is a MUST see. You have to pay a fee to enter but it is 100% worth it. Beauty sandy dune beach on Lake Michigan. Right before sunset it is stunning. Thanks so much Jonathan for hosting us, you have a gem of a location.
The host wasn't at the property, but VERY helpful! We got a lot of detailed information where to park (the spot was even assigned with cones) and where the amenities were. Fast and strong internet available.
There were a lot of deer and squirrels to watch. Always nice when you're enjoying your coffee and have a beautiful sight.
The place was leveled, chairs and table and a fire pit.
A nice and quiet spot, surrounded by trees and shade.
We had one of the best stays ever. Baby deer roamed all around our RV. It was very quiet and dark and better than any campground we've been to. Look forward to coming again.
This location is very nice, easy to maneuver, and the host is most accommodating. We had a very restful night in the trees on this picturesque property and enjoyed the thoughtful extras the host provided. We also appreciated the host’s advice about special sites and restaurants in the area as this was our first trip there. Thanks for making our trip better!
THe host was very accomodating and provided a quiet, secluded place in the woods for us to spend the night.
Our host was so helpful and gracious, helping us pull in, hook up power, and sharing his beautiful property with us. He even brought us homemade cheesecake to help us celebrate our anniversary. It was a pleasure to meet him. The neighborhood itself is a charming and unique place.
Our campsite was in a heavily wooded area on a dead end street within walking distance of the lake. Our host was very gracious and helpful. We enjoyed talking with him about the history of the area. This was our very first Boondockers Welcome stop and a most memorable one! We certainly appreciated his hospitality.
The host was fantastic and extremely helpful. It was a short walk to the "beach" and my daughter enjoyed fishing even though she didn't catch anything. We walked the mile and half to the closest bus stop and road into town. Great place to visit
Great place to put in for a night in the trees.
Great host information.
WanderingPulse is welcome at our place anytime.
Unfortunately we never got to meet face to face but they were super great hosts and very helpful in getting us in and set up. Shady spot in a wooded lot. We parked our 35 ft MH in the driveway with no problems getting in or getting level. We would definitely stay here again.
We slept like babies. Beautiful, peaceful and very quiet among the pine trees in the rain ❤
I just stayed for one night and didn't get to meet the hosts, but they were very helpful with tips for getting in and quick to respond. The location was great; a nice quiet neighborhood only a few blocks from the lake. The pine trees to sit under kept my camper and I cool even in midday summer.
Just a couple miles outside of Sheboygan, this location felt like we were far away in a peaceful forest. Our cellular signals (AT&T and Verizon) were almost non-existent, but this host offers wifi which was fast enough for streaming, etc. All communication was timely and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed this location.
This was a picture perfect stop, only thing missing is we really wanted to meet the hosts. We texted a little and we just felt we would have really hit it off. We will be back and would love to stay again. Let me know if you make it to our area on east coast we would love to host you. Enjoyed the sculpture garden and all the deer.
Wandering pulse provided a lovely wooded site with convenient water and power hookup. I felt like I was at a private campground. Although my host wasn't available on site he communicated information well, described access to amenities perfectly and was even apologetic for an odd, short lived neighborhood power outage that really didn't affect me and of course my host had no control over. Nice place.
Excellent site and an easy bike ride to enjoy the local State Park and sculpture garden…as well as a short walk to see a gorgeous sunrise over the Lake!
WanderingPulse provided nice specific directions so finding and setting up camp was easy in their absence!
Sadly we didn’t get to meet our host in person but he was very communicative and helpful. The property was lovely - we saw deer and all kinds of birds. Excellent stay and we hope to meet the host in person one day!
What a beautiful place to stay! Lots of shade trees, the spot reminded me of a pacific northwest rainforest. Lots of deer meandering through the property, super quiet and plenty of things to explore within walking distance. I particularly liked the sculpture garden which was a five minute walk away. The hosts were lovely and most gracious, even offering laundry and a shower! Who does that!? We shared a glass of wine and our histories. They have the sweetest dog ever💚 A wonderful stay, highly recommended.
A really nice location, water, power, and a level tree covered parking area. The host couldn’t have been more helpful. The site was just a short walk from the lake and deer wandered the area. I would highly recommend this location.
We ended staying 3 nights instead of 2. Hosts provided water, electricity, Wi-Fi and even sewer dump, although we did not use the later. They also had set up tables, lamp and a simple fireplace for us. Hosts also provided us access to their indoor bathroom for shower. We had hot bath each night after our tour around. That’s heavenly compare to our shower in our little rig! Had great conversation with hosts before and during our stay. Following their recommendations, we biked along the black river trail area, visited James Woods sculpture garden and forest trail, saw kite surfing by the parks along Lake Michigan shores, ate at nearby restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Fantastic food around town.
Really enjoy the quiet nights in the wooded neighborhood and beautiful surroundings.
If you are a golfer, You will enjoy The River, Meadow Valleys and The Baths of Blackwolf Run, and the ultimate Whistling Straits - the Strait and the Irish courses nearby.
Every boondockers place and host had been great experience so far, but the location, amenities and activities around, I would say it’s going to be difficult to top off. 5 stars out of 5 for sure!
Thanks so much for allowing us to stay at your property. The wooded lot and visiting deer made for an enjoyable stay. Close to both downtown parks, attractions and Kohler state park for and short day pass visit. This location was perfect. The only thing I would have liked was to have the chance to meet the host and share our RV stories.
Lovely and level wooded site with all the hookups plus wifi! Easy pull through horseshoe with plenty of room. Quiet neighborhood and just a short walk to the beach, and only 10 minute drive from downtown. We loved seeing the deer in the morning. The host was very attentive and quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommended!
What a great property in Black River, right next to Lake Michigan. Host was super helpful and had everything laid out and ready for me, electric, water, sewer. A really nice place! Thanks Wandering Pulse!
We were able to stay even though the host wasn't home. But he prepared everything for us, extension cord, water hose, leveling blocks, and detailed instructions on how to go there and where to park. Full hookup with wifi and it only gets better.
Short walk to the beach and the property is surrounded by trees. We woke up to the chirping of birds and a family of deer roaming around the yard.
Best of both worlds!
We loved our stay at wandering pulse. Host was extremely generous and very easy to communicate with. His yard was perfect and we loved seeing all the wildlife and being within walking distance to the beach!
