We're new to rv'ing, recently retired and spending more time in the States. We're based on Vancouver Island, and have a 24ft motorhome.
Keith is originally from London England, and Robyn from Toronto, we've traveled abroad in several countries and have grown kids. We're pretty quiet, and like biking and hiking, and meeting new people.
We both worked at a Vancouver college, now like trying new interests and rural life.
We enjoy swapping travel stories, and really need to learn the basics of RV'ing.
I've worked in many different countries, and we take an interest in current affairs.
We enjoy Vancouver Island and the West Coast, also travelled in the Western USA
Comox Valley, a pretty seaside/mountain community of 65,000.
24 ft class "C" motorhome, 2018 model, one slideout, pretty ordinary but much loved.
Happy to meet upisland boondockers, Robyn and Keith. Hope to see you back again for a longer stay sometime.
Especially during a pandemic, it was extra special to have a Boondocker vist overnight! I hope their trip across the country went well with no drama.
I would like them to let us know they arrived home safely.
A nice couple. We had a nice visit outdoors observing social distancing. Welcome back any time.
Quiet, interesting and friendly couple.
Covid makes interactions difficult but enjoyed our conversations and would welcome them back anytime.
Was very nice meeting this BC couple. on their way home . Always great to meet folks who do take the time to do a bit of exploring in the area after doing their home work. Appreciated their respecting social distancing and we loved listening to their travel stories. Thanks for the very interesting flavored Quebec jams!!
Good communication, quiet and left no trace behind. The kind of guests that give me encouragement and confidence to continue having my home listed on Boondockers.
Welcome back any time and I hope to be able to stay with them in the future.
Very pleasant boondockers. We had a nice chat with many more subjects to cover! I guess those will have to be left for another time! We would recommend them to any other hosts.
We were not home for their stay however a friend was here and assisted them in set up.
Easy st up and left early next day.
Welcome back anytime.
This couple gets the gold star for being our first Boondockers at Douglas....pleasent quiet couple. Looking forward to hosting them in Marathon shortly
We just hosted the "keith". Very nice people, respectful all the way. To bad they didn't stay longer so we could learn more about them.
Any time they want to drop in, we'll be happy to share story and travel story with them again !
Keith and his wife were only here for a short, overnight stay. They arrived when they said they would and were very easy to get settled in. Hope to see them again sometime.
A very pleasant couple. Wish they stayed more than one night so we could get to know them better.
Keith & Robyn had a short stay w/us on Wednesday/Thursday. Darn! Nice couple. Good conversationalists. Kind. We shared a lot in common. Their 24 ft RV fit in our driveway w/o hassle. Hope we see them again someday.
Keith and company were excellent guests very interested in seeing the local spots and scenery they just happen to visit when the developers of Boondockers Welcome were here so we had many questions answered. Safe travels and maybe we will get a chance to visit you at home.
We enjoyed meeting these folks and hope to see them again someday on the road. Was especially nice that they invited us into their rig for morning coffee.
These are very nice folks. We enjoyed their stay with us and they are welcome to return.
Keith & Robyn had a short one night stay with us on the start of their Newfoundland journey. We enjoyed a short chat with them and a tour of their rig. We'd happily host them again.
A pleasure to chat a bit. Glad we could provide a landing spot and wish Keith and Robyn well in their adventure south. They communicated well and their vehicle fit comfortably in our drive.
Keith and Robyn stayed with us for 1 night. We enjoyed a cup of coffee and a nice visit getting to know them this morning before they left. We would happily host them any time in the future and we let them know that. There’s no reason anyone should hesitate to accept them as Boondockers when requested.
These boondockers were great guests and it was a pleasure to meet new Canadian friends. They are welcome back anytime.
Keith and Robyn were very respectful guests. It was a pleasure to meet them and spend time discussing good places to explore. We would be happy to host them again sometime.
GREAT to meet Keith (good to hear my native ‘Larndn’ accent again!) and Robyn, who were very communicative and considerate. Don’t let ‘em fool ya – they seem to know more about many RV destinations than their "new to rv’ing" claim suggests! ;-) Cool to chat with them and hope they have another chance to drop by in future with a bit more time. Totally recommended! Dave’n’Kim, California.
Warm hosts, superb view and an impressive garden. Our stay was really great!
I was met with a warm welcoming and a beautiful view. Just needed a spot for the night, but found myself in a place to take a nice walk. Hosts very accommodating.
For my first use I was very thankful to have the spot provided by my hosts
They were very helpful with directions, cautions, arrival and offers of water, and basic electricity which I did not need as I came prepared.
They provided good information for me about the area and answered all my questions.
I did my best to be a good guest and appreciated staying at my hosts home.
My stay at Keith's place was wonderful. The views are absolutely amazing and friendship, chats, and hospitality was superb. Keith welcomed me in, offered to go for a swim in the bay and even gave a tour of his beautiful back yard and garden. I felt right at home as if with old friends.
As for the "site": it is level, has plenty of room and is very quiet and peaceful.
We enjoyed our stay. Very hospitable hosts, outstanding ocean view in a quiet setting.
We had a pleasant stay with Keith and Robin. They were so friendly and welcoming, provided us with electric, invited us in for coffee, great conversation. And an added bonus is the view of the ocean. We would definitely stay again.
Thanks for the welcome. The many travel tips and the delicious apples and blackberries from your garden. This special place that this particularly nice people like to share with us, we take in the form of driving logs to Europe.
Thanks Robert and Nelleke from the Netherlands
If I stayed another day I would not leave and claim squatters rights! (LOL) I had a wonderful time with 2 days of absolutely amazing mountain biking and great conversation. The views from my Rig were just outstanding with a gorgeous sunset sky and deer walking by in the late evening with a Bald Eagle resting at Tree top. What a dream come true. Thank you so much!
