Retired greenhouse operator. We now live in a Condo in a small town
We love traveling in our 36 ft Class A Triple E motor home,
We love the quiet outdoors. We do like meeting other travelers, and exchange experiences with them.
Rolie also loves old classic cars. He has rebuilt several of them. He enjoys old car shows.
Rolie is a "Jack of all trades", and is often able to find a solution to technical problems. He is always willing to help when help is needed. We are "mind our own business people", but like to socialize as well, and share experiences about traveling, etc.
We used to have pets, we love them. In our present setting, in a Condo, having pets is out of the question.
We like to park at friends' houses, on the parking lot of a Church where we attend that Sunday, or at Wall Marts.
We like country life and nature, are not so much interested in big cities.
We had several unique boondockers locations. We always meet very friendly people everywhere. One time we parked in a big, fenced in field. The only occupants of the field were some horses. After they had made themselves familiar with us, they accepted us as part of the scenery.
Another time we were visited by a bunch of chickens, that were on their way to their roost. They were all over us for a while. One even jumped on my lap.
In that respect, nothing is too crazy for us. We also made friends with several dogs, owned by our hosts.
Our Condo is in Grimsby, Ontario. A quiet town on Lake Ontario. It is a nice location, very close to the QEW.
36 ft Triple E Empress, 1995. This is our 3rd motorhome, slowly upgraded to this size. We love it.
I had the pleasure of spending some time with these wonderful Folks. They are very welcoming and friendly without infringing on your space. Watch out for Mrs. J's sense of humour !! Mr. R went out of his way to help me with a few maintenance items. They have a beautiful and quiet setting.
We would highly recommend a stay at the RWRavens site. They went out of there way to make us feel welcome. They had installed a 30amp plug just for boondockers which made our stay that much more pleasant. The area is in there back yard and it is like a forest setting. The site is hard packed gravel and there is loads of room to manoeuvre.
