Divorced suburb dweller living in same place for 20 years & pretty tired of being way too stable. Built my house 20 years ago and now looking to rent it out and move into an RV for a nomadic lifestyle. I'm easing into this by first listening to others before going to Camping World etc. I want to hear all the stories about the people and the places you have been.
With 20+ years in IT, I now work as a Cloud Architect. That pretty much means I can do anything IT-wise. That includes help with Apple devices, laptops, PC's, servers, routers, switches, and software applications. I specialize in Networking with plenty of Cellular experience from working at Verizon. I'm also a licensed Ham Radio Operator with a special interest in long-distance WiFi and 4G/LTE.
I'm also a Prepper, avid hiker and mountain biker.
Yes. 2 kittens. Haven't travelled too far yet, just out and about in the truck.
Never tried it. Trying to learn first.
I'm from Amarillo but now I live in Lewisville, a suburb in the Dallas-Ft Worth area. I have lived in Los Angeles, San Diego, Austin, and Memphis.
What a great guy! Had 30amp and water and wifi and some super talks...we were able to get to everything we needed ...all in a short distance away. Even with a mix up about the dates..he accomadated us for 3 days stay. Well worth stopping here!
Friendly and hospitable host. Would definitely stay again.
Charles was very hospitable and easygoing! We loved sitting in his backyard getting to know him and his sweet kittens! Charles was SO generous to let us use his 30amp plug and run the AC so our beagle could be comfortable in this Texas heat! He also let us use his water, WiFi, and even offered to let us use his washer and dryer for laundry! Charles went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. There’s also an ice cream shop and super market within walking distance! We highly recommend this spot for anyone stopping through the Dallas/Ft Worth area.
Thankfully, my fiancé is very proficient at backing up our 17 foot trailer. Charles’ spot is perfect for smaller rigs like ours, since the access alley is a little narrow. We had no problem getting in, but I wanted to let future RVers know that you should be good at backing in! Thank you again for having us Charles!! We really enjoyed our stay!
