I worked for a local dairy, delivering dairy products and my wife worked as a wedding concultant
Now we are really enjoying life
Tia , our shih tzu travels with us on all our trips. She seldom barks, never bites and licks a lot.
Our boondocking has been Walmarts,Casinos and truck stops. We have made a trip to western Canada in the spring of 2013 and a three month trip to Alaska and back in 2017 We stayed at nine boondocking locations.
We live in a beautiful rural community in Prince Edward Island . We are only a few km from the National Park beaches but also only a few km from Charlottetown
We have a 2021 30ft Reflection fifth wheel with one slide.We tow it with a 2020 F150
Had L&N stay for the weekend while they visited Toronto. Wasn't able to spend much time with them as I was away. Had stayed at their place on PEI a few years ago. Would have like to caught up on some of our travels. Hope to catch up with them next summer.
What a lovely time we had ...
You are welcome back anytime. Thank you.
We hosted "Plant" for 3 days and had a wonderful time. Hopefully we'll see them again on their return trip from the Yukon. Safe travels in the interim.... R & S
Again we enjoyed this couple's company, hope to host them on their return trip. Would recommend hosting this couple to anyone.
They spent one night at my site because the temperature was'nt too good. So we did'nt have to exanged. Very interesting and polite people. I hope they will stop on their return trip.
they spent a night with us but hoped is was more. Hopefully they will stay with us on their return trip.
We hosted Nelson and Linda overnight this week, truly enjoyed there company. They are welcome anytime
Nelson and Linda were such a friendly couple.Great people to introduce us to boondocking. Our only regret is we missed spending the evening together.Hopefully there will be a next time .
They are why we joined boondockers. Kind, Considerate and Friendly. We would have them back anytime.
This couple is welcome at our place any time. We had a very nice chat with them in our home discussing various topics.
They left after one night with our best wishes for a safe and happy journey.
We hosted this couple recently. We had a good visit with them and enjoyed their company.
Really nice host. Pleasant to talk to. Easy site set up. Convenient to every place we wanted to go. Tia, the dog, was an excellent greeter and wicked cute to boot!
Very nice couple who made us feel very welcome on our world win tour a Pei we didn't have a lot of time with them as we weren't there very often and when we were the weather did not cooperate for a nice outside visit. We sincerely hope that we get to stay there again one day in the future and get to visit with this nice couple.
Thank you for a wonderful overnight visit. We had a perfectly level spot in the yard. Enjoyed our visit around the campfire and hope you will visit us in NC.
Our hosts were very welcoming to us. They have a beautiful, large property that accommodates our large RV easily. They were kind enough to allow us to plug into their power, and even offered access to their water, and made us feel at home. We were honoured they accepted our invitation to share stories and a glass of wine. Thank you!
We were so glad to be able to escape the noisy crowded beach campgrounds while staying with our hosts. We felt very welcome and enjoyed spending time chatting with our host, hostess and some family at a campfire after coming back late after a concert. Their home is convenient to hiking, biking, sightseeing, music and beach adventures. We highly recommend these hosts and their lovely location.
Great friendly couple. Large easy location to park. We had a busy agenda so we didn't get much time to visit. Would like to thank them for helping me fix my 12V extension cord as it had pulled a soldier joint apart. Would stay here again and hope they visit us some day.
Ron and Nancy!
This couple and this location are Great.
Centrally located, easy to find and as advertised.
Recommend highly and will request again.
Plant’s Place is easy to find and provides a level parking area with 15 amp electric.
The hosts greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had what we needed.
The location is great for exploring the North Central Coastal area including Cavendish.
We highly recommend these hosts and would enjoy hosting them when they visit North Carolina.
Very close to the Cavendish National Park and the wonderful Hope Gardens. When we arrived we were having slide issues and Nelson found the part we needed at a local shop and helped secure the slide till we get the piece. But the best part was sitting and talking with them around the fire at night. And we reconnected with fellow boondockers who we had met on the road. Do yourself a favor and stay with these wonderful hosts.
We stayed with PLANT for two nights. Really nice quiet peaceful spot. Nelson and Linda we’re really nice people and we enjoyed our conversations on the deck. Hopefully we’ll meet up again some day!
N & L were very welcoming, hospitable and friendly. They have lots of information on the area and their location is convenient to different types of activities. We will be back when we are in this area again. Thanks!
You’re not going to find much more accommodating people than N & L. We changed plans on them, and they rolled with the punches and were there to welcome ya when we finally showed up. We enjoyed a few chats with them, and then they went camping and let us stay even though they were leaving.
We were just down the street from PEI National Park, and Richard’s famous sea food. We would definitely visit again. Thanks for everything!
Nelson & Linda could not have been more accommodating, even inviting me to return a second night should I find myself back their way. While that didn’t happen, we did have a great one-night stay and Larry got to play with Tia on their beautiful property. Thanks Nelson & Linda (& Tia!).
Many tanks to the Plant; lovely people and very nice and quiet place !
We had a wonderful time with our hosts, we had the privilege of meeting their wonderful grandchildren. Shared stories on the back deck which carried on well into each night.Lots of information on the area which helped us plan our excursions. Will definitely stay with them again.
We very much enjoyed staying at Plants place! Folks were super nice and we really enjoyed our conversations! Fantastic rural location, beautiful spot!
Due to unforeseen circumstances on our part, we had to cancel last minute. We were disappointed that we were unable to meet the "Plants" in person, but wanted to share that they were delightful people to communicate with and sure appreciated their willingness to host us. We wouldn't hesitate to try a connection again.
Warm, friendly hosts - and the location is hard to beat!
Spent my first boondockers welcome experience at plants place. Beautiful level yard and super friendly hosts. Hope to see you at my place one day soon.
We spent two nights at the Plant home, and found them to be wonderful, friendly hosts. Their property is just lovely (we even saw a bald eagle), huge and easily accommodated our 36 foot motor home. The location is perfect for exploring the area. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay.
This was a great location-wide open yard to turn easily and even electricity provided. We dropped our trailer and left for the day to explore PEI. Had a very pleasant evening with hosts and other Boondockers who were also staying. Thanks.
Although we only spent one night, we had an amazing stay with these very congenial hosts. They welcomed us even though they had other members already booked in. It turned out that we knew the other members so all six of us ended up having a great visit over cocktails. A great location and a most memorable stop for many reasons! Thank you!
We stayed 2 nights at Plant's home. Unfortunately we did not get to meet them as they were travelling but their daughter was home. It was very peaceful and it was convenient to visit Cavendish and Charlottetown from this location. We hope that we may meet up in the future.
We stayed just one night here, but what a peaceful, quite place! Unfortunately it was raining hard, we arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning, so we didn't have a chance to visit much. Even so, our host was very friendly and welcoming. If our plans had worked out differently (weather had a lot to do with it), we would have stayed another night later in our planned stay.
We stayed for 2 nights with Plant, and had a great time, we lucked out. They are great hosts and it was fun to talk with them. And the location is great: the national park beaches are within biking distance, and the Anne of Green Gables place is a close drive.
Just got back from my maiden voyage in my 'new' motorhome. Joined BW just before leaving and am I glad I did! My gal pals and our 3 dogs had the good fortune to stay with Nelson and Linda...they are the only BW hosts we have visited so far and what a fantastic introduction to the club!!!
These friendly, warm people were outside when we arrived and Nelson graciously offered to back my rig in...I'm still getting used to driving with no rear-view!
Their good old lab lumbered over to say hi and my dog immediately fell in love!!
Their place is huge and very pretty...quiet and serene...and we all felt immediately at home.
Nelson and Linda invited us to bring our coffee up on the deck in the morning to join them and use their Wi-Fi, but the best part was just chatting with these interesting people.
They generously let us stay a second night...so very much nicer than any RV park.
I cannot recommend this couple enough...go visit them...you'll be very glad you did.
Thanks so much Nelson and Linda for your hospitality and friendship.
Linda
We stayed a few nights with Nelson and Linda. They are wonderful people. We joined them for a campfire with their family and we had a great time.
They welcomed us with big smiles and were very helpful even fishing out some bug spray when we were getting bitten. Lovely to chat to. Wish we had an extra day to stay and chat more. Thank you for your hospitality.
Nelson and Linda were very helpful to us.....we needed a spot to leave the entire rig as we took a ferry to the Iles de Madeleine the day after we arrived at their beautiful property in PEI. And when we returned two days later due to the ferry schedule, they helped us further to allow us to visit some gorgeous spots on the Island. Highly recommended central location and extremely friendly and personable couple.....
