Do you know or have you hosted this user?

Tom and Jan lived in Alaska for 17 years and worked as teachers in Bush Alaska, Juneau and Fairbanks. Upon retiring in 2006 they relocated to the Columbia Gorge area of Southern Washington. We spend our time traveling, both internationally and through the USA and a large garden also keeps us busy. Tom is a ham radio operator and enjoys fishing and reading. Jan is a painter and works in watercolor and oil, often using travel for painting inspiration. We have one son, who is ready to graduate from the University of Washington. We like to hike and bike and cary our mountain bikes on our RV.

Tortuga's Rig

We have tried several kinds of motor homes. Our favorite was a 21 foot Toyota Sea Breeze that we traveled in for 9 months in 2001, homeschooling our son and seeing the USA. Now that we are retired and just two of us, we are trying out a Bigfoot camper mounted on a 2002 Dodge Ram Diesel. Tom has installed two solar panels on the top of the camper so that we can boondock for longer periods of time without needing civilization.
