Airstream Dreamers are a freelance writer, Maura and John, a retired studio photographer. We travel the country full-time visiting our kids and our ten grand-children and taking in the sights of the USA.
Beyond Maura's 38 years of writing as a newspaper journalist, business and corporate PR, magazine and medical writing, she is a water colorist and a silver smith of fine jewelry. John is a professional photographer, a graphic and web designer, former cabinet maker, optician and amateur guitar player. He also redesigned their Airstream interior, built a 560 watt solar powered electrical system and repairs whatever needs fixing.
We do not.
We just discovered the Anza Borego Desert in southern California this past winter, along with BLM sites in the Yuma, Az area and in and throughout the Big Sky country of Montana.
We are originally from Philadelphia, PA but now call Sioux, Falls, SD our home base.
We have a 25 foot classic Airstream Sovereign travel trailer pulled by a 2007 GMC Yukon suv.
Truly a lovely couple with a great sense of adventure and exploring. They truly embody what boondockers welcome is about - adventure, respect, friendship. Once in a rare while people walk into your life and you know you'll see them again. I look forward to hosting them again and catching up on great experiences. Travel safe!
They are interesting travellers. . . as for boondockers, except when we were exchanging stories, we hardly even knew they were here! Such a pleasant, considerate couple and we would definitely welcome them back.
Totally enjoyed the visits when they arrived and when they were leaving. Awesome guests!
These folks were wonderful, but then in our short time with Boondockers Welcome, we have had great guests. With Boondockers, people make the product. Great guests, come back anytime.
Enjoyed talking to this couple. Would have liked to chat more, but we had just arrived home after an 8 month adventure and got involved in settling in. Welcome back anytime and wish them safe travels!
It was a please to host these two.
They were so quite we didn't even know they were here :-)
Friendly, low maintenance couple. Interesting travels they shared with us. Very cool restored Airstream they graciously gave us a tour of. We hope to see them again.
Great and spirited conversation! I love meeting people like them who want to enjoy the tidbits of what the local area has to offer. I have a feeling we'll see these two again!
