We had an very good time with you, and we will thank you for the first-evening, we enjoyed it very much, you are an nice and good host. Thank you. Mia & Clemens
Bowser was a wonderful host while we were in Portland. He has a great set-up in his drive way to make boondocking easier. He was very generous and treated us to a dinner, and helped arrange transport into the city. We enjoyed his stories and his peaceful neighbourhood. Highly recommend!
Bowser took us in at short notice. It was our first experience boondocking with this site and we had a blast. Bowser is a great guy and helped us out with information about getting around Portland on our bikes. Thanks Bowser. Note: I would highly recommend following Bowsers directions to his place, not your GPS.
A friend and I had our first boondocking experience with Bowser. AND it was my first trip in my RV ever. It was such a positive experience it has assured me that boondocking is the way to go to escape those overcrowded rv parks with little privacy while I travel across the country. Bowser is very accomplished and when we had trouble with our electrical system he was right there with us trying to figure it out. He is in a lovely quiet location and is a real pleasure to spend time with. I am so grateful. Thank you Bowser!
Bowser is a delightful considerate host who makes it easy to visit. The location is quiet and shady. We had some good enjoyable conversations. The nice thing about Boondockers Welcome is that we can meet people like Bowser on our travels.
Absolutely a joy to stay here! We were treated with such kindness and wonderful conversation during our stay. We'd come back just to hang out!
A great guy, so helpful & welcoming. Lent us his ramps & had an electrical cord waiting when we arrived. Great area, beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Thank you so much for making this a great experience. We are grateful.
One of more memorable boon dock experiences this year. We had fun talking with Corky our host and had not a dull moment for the time we spent in his drive way and roamed around Portland. We are heading back for a second visit to continue some of the talks and experiences. Thanks and see you again soon. Thijs and Rieneke
This was my first experience with the service and if all the rest will be like Bowser, I'll be a lucky man. He was very pleasant, helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately I was very busy and did not have enough time to visit. Hopefully sometime in the future. Thanks again
A wonderful experience here. It was very hard for us to plan in advance because we are always on the move but he accommodated us an even offered to trim some of the tree in the driveway so our RV would fit. Thank you so much again and sorry we couldn't stay longer and do dinner. Next time we are back in Portland we will try to make it happen.
Bowser is simply an amazing host. His hospitality was extraordinary from the time of arrival to departure. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting and sharing travel stories along with plenty of laughter. The location is centrally located which allowed plenty of time to take-in all that area has to offer. As an added bonus there are gorgeous hiking trails just at the edge of the neighborhood. I am extremely thankful to Bowser for a memorable visit. If you are coming to the Portland area do yourself a favor and coordinate to stay here.
Corky was such a great host and was flexible with us as our schedule changed. Great location in a nice quiet neighborhood right in the heart of Portland. Thanks, Corky!
This is the second time we had the pleasure of Bowser's company, I sure hope it isn't our last. If you get a chance to stop by, I am sure it would make both his and your day.
========== When I first arrived, I was traveling alone -- waiting for my GF to fly in a couple of days later. The host is surprisingly generous; helped me set his ramps so I could be level front to back, had water & power -- even a place to dump if you need it. The host is an experienced boondocker himself so it was great to share a few stories. The main road up to his place is quite steep (not that uncommon in Portland I guess?) but it was no problem for my F350 and large camper. Sorry to be so slow getting my recommend out there but this is a great place to stay and the host is very responsive to Emails and questions. Thanks for letting me camp at your place. ========== JIM PETERSON -- KUNA, IDAHO ==========
Very helpful, and knew the best place to eat! Wonderful conversation as well!
Although we never met our host - he was away when we've been there - we exchanged a few emails. He was very nice, gave us advice on what to see in the area, and his place had everything we needed.
Bowser was away the night we arrived, but had left blocks ready for our rv, wifi connection, etc - a delightful quiet location and very kind host
We had the pleasure of meeting Bowser through the boondockers welcome site. He couldn't do enough for us. It was very interesting to get to know him and here his stories. If you get a chance to stop by and see him you won't regret it .This was our first boondocking experience and if the rest are half are good as this one I am hooked for life.
